Okay lets say I use keyword phrase, "Hosting for noobs" on my blog page and then I create a few backlinks via social bookmarking sites. Should I also use the title for the bookamarks "hosting for noobs" ? Or is it a bad idea since they can rank higher then my blog page ?

I think there will be minimum loss to you even if they do exceed your home page listing.

But it is possible, I am just not convinced this is a bad thing... this has happened to a few of my article pages, I still have a link on the article, and most still visit my site for more...

Using keywords as part of the submissions is better,

Those social bookmark stories will surely rank better at first, commonly for stories at kaboodle, reddit, mixx, blinklist, oneview, etc.

Give it a time and your submitted url will get better SERP than those from social bookmark stories.
This is the usual case for my clients.

So I guess I shouldnt use the same keyword phrase ? All I want are the backlinks not for people to actually see them.
