A Question About Permalinks and Redirects...

Here´s the story...

I have a client with 118 posts published with a permalink structure that includes dates.

Thinking of changing that to post so, my questions are...

• Is setting permalinks to "Post" still the best URL structure as per SEO standards?
• Will this create 301 redirects? And, if so, will that affect the site in regards to SEO?
• Is there a better way to do it?

NOTE: The site has Yoast installed.

restructure your post URL's - make them SEO friendly and apply redirect 302 to them.
not too much effect even the results will get better

Yes, permalinks with 'post' is the best choice. Unless you use silo structure in your site.

You can use plugin to redirect old permalinks to the new ones.

I'm not sure about the impact to google SERP.

I will follow as i have the same question & i'm using the link structure: Category/Postname with Yoast and this is long on the search bar and not cool for SEO!
