Would a Forum Spam Bot help promote/rank a Youtube Video?
Or a facebook page?
I know XRumer works kind of like this, so Im wondering does it work?

You will probably get some mixed responses here, so let me get in early and say, it can and does help. Forum spam serves as both practical link building and as a direct referral mechanism if your spam is targeted and not completely telegraphed. This sort of thing is not as easy as it once was since most boards have highly active memberships that self-police this kind of crap. Nonetheless I still see plenty of forum spam even here on BHW, so it serves as an actual way to get real targeted traffic in addition to playing a role in some people's link building campaigns.
