How can I check the search engine page ranking against a particular keyword? I am unable to see the SERP because it is not within the top 100 result. Is there any free way to do it?

are you are trying to check past the top 100 results

Google Webmaster Tools Supplies this info - though not much accurate, but still.

Google "whats my serp" (sorry cant post URL, Im a newbie)

They will check 25 keywords up to 300 ranking positions for ten domains. Also tracks your competitors :)

Writer,

As mentioned by other members, WMT could potentially show you this. If you have analytics installed on your website you may be able to see it there as well. Even though you could potentially see it there, is there a specific reason that you want to see the exact position of your website when it is ranked further out than 100? In my opinion, what does it matter if its number 102 or 170? It may not be worth your time tracking a keyword's position until its below the 100[SUP]th[/SUP] position mark.

You could also try installing this custom code on your site for Google Analytics. It tracks keyword positions of people who clicked through to your website. Then you could see if anyone was actually traveling to the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] page of SERP's to click on your site,

You can use Rank Tracker by SEO power suite free version and of course with limitations...

You can set rank tracker to monitor Top 1000 results in Preferences -> Rank Checking Mode -> Maximum number of the results to check.

I've checked my rankings through some automated programs like licorne aio and rank tracker. They show a rank of 10 then when i search google.com it is ranked 3rd

Hi Jaydjay,

Rank checkers provide an aggregate benchmark.

When you perform an actual search in Google there are a lot of factors that indicate the actual SERP position, such as personalisation, geo-graphic location, etc.

I usually use at least two rank checkers when benchmarking.

Here is one I found that checks up to a 1,000 results:
Code:

Serpfox can track up to 10 keywords for free if you're interested :P
