I don't ever recall saying that I was an expert, or claiming that I was good. I consider myself to be at a level where I can do whatever I need to do without many issues, but that's about it. I do not consider myself to be the best in any way shape or form. With that being said, I don't even know what a BST is, but I would assume that this is a sales thread? Your idea sounds like it's something that would definitely work out if I was to take the time to do it, but I don't really have the investment to throw at Jr. VIP on the off-chance that I will get an approved thread in the MP section, which will then cost another wad of change.

In any event, I've already grabbed a list of software like you've suggested (Albeit did this in the past) and was looking into making a scrapebot clone back during my NSFW tumblr campaign about a year ago. I got bored with it and deleted it after all of my tumblr accounts were hit.

That's a fairly good idea for the people that can spell, my over-all concern is the people that can't, in my niche it's very easy to misspell things, which is where my main concern comes in. I was just showing you why LIKE wouldn't work in my case 100%, however I understand what you're saying. I'll probably take a look at jspell.

Not really, considering my goal is to have passive income, and is also a starting goal. Fiverr isn't really scalable(IMO), or passive.

EDIT: Here's a few tips for YouTube:

1. Get very, very good at keyword research.
2. Sign up to all the trials of the various SEO tools that are out there and try them out.
3. Start making notes on what data they are missing that will help you out with finding good YouTube niches.
4. Rank a few videos.

While you're watching their progress, start working on coding your own tools for finding good niches. Here's one tip that I normally don't share: Make a dictionary of words that indicate 'intent' (Oh, Google) and use them with your own tools for research. If you do this diligently, you're going to see the results yourself with your next batch of videos.

Most of my videos are top-rank for searches in my niche, considering they're mainly "how to" videos, and if they're not the top-place they're easily on the first page, and always showing up in recommended videos for people. I go haywire with my YouTube keywords. I don't do any SEO other than the keywords and still get first-place, I guess I'm lucky. I typically have a description that also uses a buncah of keywords and is in a paragraph that links to my website as "backlinks"

So over the last day I've been working really hard on my software; This software is open to the public and is more of a bare-bones server for people to use based on the Java programming language. I use it to teach people how to create multi-player games, file transfer systems, chat systems, and a few other things that are networking related. This software is three things to me.

A) Something I use in almost every networking related application I make.
B) Something that will be in my portfolio for the rest of my life.
C) Something that brings in a little extra revenue by my supporters on a monthly croud-funding website.

Currently the software is bringing in $15/mo and that's without promoting the page to donate but one time, and not even pushing it. I've decided to start throwing out quite a few more tutorials and start pushing the whole "Donate" thing, as most people are very grateful for my tutorials and such. Who knows, but even if 0.1% of them were willing to throw in a dollar/month, that's 600 views/day, which brings us to 0.6 people per day submitting a dollar per month. I don't know what you guys see, but I see numbers that stack up.

If over the next year I get to $200-300 a month from my tutorial videos just by doing what I've always done for free, it's just money in the bank, right?

Currently I'm at a stand-still with my website project. I don't know what to do. It's not that the website can't continue or I'm stumped in development as much as it is that I'm stumped in where to go from here. I'm thinking too much. My goal is to create an enthusiast website more than it is to make money with this, the money is just going to be a bonus for me. I've been trying to grow my facebook page but I'm only at 70 likes. This is with spending $50 on facebook advertisements. I see enthusiast pages in this niche with millions of likes, and that's something I want to get into, and have wanted to get into for years now. It's not about money to me, but being an enthusiast. I just see an opportunity to bank on my interests.

I've been reading up on ways to increase social activity and getting the page going, I'm thinking about getting to atleast 500 likes before publishing the page and going to YouTube with it, at the same time if I just start "stealing" videos the website may get a bad name, which I don't want. I've already put together a list of youtubers that do vlogs and stuff in my niche about getting "sponsored" on the website to sponsor the website in their videos. I'll offer t-shirt giveaways and stuff to their viewers as-well.

I've decided on writing detailed blog-posts on high-trending videos on my niche as I've never really seen anyone do that (and believe me I google around a lot on this niche). I will also embed videos from youtube as-well and attempt to gain visitors without directly stealing content. This seems like the best way to go. The good part is none of the content is copyrightable. We'll see how this works out, I'm open to any suggestions. Stumped on the direction I should go here.

I'm also waiting on the completion of my 6 niche websites I got from a BST here. I'll start dumping some time into those when I have time.

My domain transfer for my old domain is also almost done going through (finally) and I have written 9 articles so far for it. (500-2500 words, targetting "how to" long tail keywords in the educational niche)

Today was pretty slow, I wrote a few more articles for the website (Domain still waiting to transfer) and recorded some more videos for my backing YouTube Channel. I'm not at 100 videos and most of them are ranking top in their position. I've started to diversify my videos as-well, they used to all be about a single thing in a series, but now I'm doing smaller videos, such as "How to do X", and "How to do Y". I even uploaded a video that seems to be doing pretty good called "Software Database in X minutes" where X was pretty low and it's already. I currently hold the Top three spots for a certain search term as-well. (And top spots in all relative search terms).

I've gone open source with my basic server software that I allow people to use now and I'm trying to get money through patreon, currently not any results, but considering I'm getting 600 views/day so far from nothing but being on YouTube (No advertising my channel, etc) I feel like there's plenty of room to scale this, if anyone has experience with building a legitimate YouTube Channel and would like to share information, I'm all ears.

I've outsourced the work for my facebook page for my enthusiast website to a friend, he's going to be taking care of it and trying to get it to a few thousand likes considering he has a bunch of free time. In return I promised him a share of the money up to X amount of $ USD. He agreed. The only problem is we don't have any experience with making facebook pages at all, we juts know how to post and share it to our friends and pray. I might offer some pages some $ for some shares, or something in the future, who knows.

I may be getting my hands on another website here soon that has an active niche-facebook page that comes with it of 15k active "likes". I've already tested that I can get 1k niche specific views per day using this website and page, however the Adsense Value of the page seems to be bad. I'll have to see what I can do with it. (It was good the first 4-5 days, $2-3 a day, now I'm getting $0.00 - $0.01

So, today I went ahead and recorded a few more videos, I'm thinking about making an update-bot for YouTube that schedules uploads at different times that allows me to set all the tags and description, should be simple enough. After some testing I noticed that if you upload a video as private and then set them to be "Public" a week later, you don't get the "Name just uploaded X" in your subscribers news feed.

As for my domain I'm still waiting on the release from the ex registrar, it's becoming a fairly drawn out process but it should only last another 2-3 days at maximum. (Due to the ICANN requirements).

If you or anybody you know is good with creating informational videos that are voices over I'm highly interested. I am planning to create an entire online class that people can purchase, as-well as an e-book I'll be selling through my channel.

I would agree, I currently have an idea (that I will not be releasing here) that works directly with one of my current marketing tactics. I have a text-book that I've been writing for my educational niche YouTube website and I'm going to try to sell it to my followers for $2.99 / $4.99 and I've thought of a way to almost limit pirating of the e-book to zero. I'll be creating the system for myself and if it yields good results and doesn't have any complaints I'll be creating a service-website out of it.

Once again I've lost a MASSIVE update due to the spam filter... when will this thing be removed?

Alright, so I'm going to try to write this update again now that I'm not screaming at the Spam prevention system. Currently I'm still waiting on my 6 niche websites to be delivered from the BST i ordered from.--I finally got the domain transferred and have started on the website, with that being said I have a few articles posted already and I'm about to start adding links/annotations to some of my videos. My plans for today (for this website) is to write another two or three articles and focus around some key-words that I got by using long-tail pro. (Trial). Unfortunately the domain transfer lasted quite awhile and I haven't had much time to use my trial period (2 days left from 10.)On a side note my ebook that will be directly promtoed from my YouTube and website is 50% completed, I expect to finish it within a week as it's a pretty small (But very informative and valuable ebook). I went to fiverr and ordered a decent looking gig for an ebook coverr, I'm also going to try to find a decent video promotion video that I can get for it, as my advertisement method will mainly be the "Recommended" feature in YouTube. (Partnership, ftw).

With this being said I wanted a good way to sell my book without having to worry about it being pirated, so I came up with a really good method of doing so; Obviously however if someone really, really wants to steal your ebook they can just screen-shot every page, but I don't know many people that want an e-book that bad. While doing this I happened to run across a very, very nice domain name that I believe I can SEO and get up there, and I will use it for promotion of all of my ebooks as-well. This may grant me more sales, as-well as a decent traffic. I can also(and plan) to turn it into a service website. This keyword(Mixed with a few others I can target all at once) bring in a whopping ~1million searches/month. I've already been investigating into the keywords and my competition and I feel like I have a chance here. (Albeit finishing my ebook is my top priority, then writing this website as a way to deploy it is my second one). In the mean time I'll just continue to update my website.

The original enthusiast website that I have mentioned in my main post is still being worked on slowly, I'm taking my time with it so I don't lose interest, I also have a friend(He's like my brother, known him all my life) working on it with me.

So after I finally got my domain I've been working on articles and posting them, some of them are keyword focused, others are not. (The ones that are not, are mainly just Parts to the main keyword page I'm trying to rank, for example I have a "How to do this" page that I'm trying to rank, but there's like 800 steps, so I have them broken down into like 35 1-2k word posts.

Currently I have 27 articles uploaded over the last 2 days and I've been writing them at a fairly consistent rate, all of the content is completely unique and beneficial to the user as-well.

Currently the bounce rate is a little high (60% with about 75 visitors a day) as I don't have enough content, but that's to be expected. I'm pumping it out as fast as I can though. Personally I think 75 visitors a day for the second day of the website being up is great. Every post that I've done my SEO on checks out with the green light on my SEO plugins, I'm generating site-maps every-time that I upload a new page and making sure to link out to other websites. (Such as wikipedia and other highly resourceful websites) where I can, without it feeling like a link spamfest.

Currently on my TODO List I have another 72 articles that I need to write and have on the page before any type of off-site SEO or advertising it to be done to decrease bounce rates, also the main-page is just a wordpress standard right now and shows my most recent blog posts. I'm using the free heatmap adsense theme with a few customizations, which looks really nice. My advertisement layout is simple one on each side, I'm thinking about making them scroll with the page as-well. The good part is that from experience I know that people in this niche love to click on advertisements. Personal experience .

I've disabled comments all together on the website as I didn't want to have to deal with any type of Spam. I have a few friends that are in this niche as-well (Not for marketing purposes, just because they are) and they've put my website in the footer of their website as-well to help me get on my feet.

I have a massive list of tutorial series that I'm ready to do on YouTube planned out as-well and I'm going to be attaching a video opening containing my website on them, but I need to finish my articles first.

Seems like I have quite a few hours ahead of me to finish up the beginning of this website, but I feel like I can get it done within the next week. I've also got an interview for a job coming up, so if I get it I'll be investing money into the website (Atleast a few 100) to see if I can get it off it's feet and start making some passive income. If it can, awesome, if it can't, then oh well I guess, .

I also got a preview of the ebook cover that I ordered, it was hideous and I have requested a refund and I'll be going somewhere else.

I finished writing my book and got an easy to remember domain for it. It's also really easy to type in and then got a nice landing page for purchasing. I filled it out with a bunch of information to tempt the user to buy the book. I still need to find a decent video promotion video suplier before uploading it to my channel though. I've been posting on my website I'm now up to almost 50 posts, getting 100 sessions/day. Not advertising it yet, as I have a lot of broken links (Trying to fix this up before it hurts the website, but a lot of the articles link to articles I haven't written yet).

So today I went ahead and got the trial of video scribe, I decided I would try to create my promotional video for my book myself, considering everyone on Fiverr takes months to respond it seems. After messing with it for about an hour I've come up with a fairly short promotional video for my ebook that I'm getting ready to upload. Hopefully this will bring in a few conversions. If I manage to get a sale per day, then my starting goal has already been met, but I won't stop there.

I managed to not get the job where I was interviewed, as I was a former employee that had left. It's understandable. However; this is driving me more and more to get this on the road. Today I've recorded 7 new videos, and written 3 more blog posts, as-well as created this promotional video for my ebook.

I've also planned out another 3 e-books that I need to write out that I believe could generate some sales. (These take about 2 weeks to write each (I write 112 WPM and spent about 2-4 hours a day working on this, granted they weren't all hours of mindless typing.), I'm going to see how the first one does first.)

I've started to diversify my channel a little, moving away from my subniche and moving more over the broad niche and making my channel just a "goto" for everything. Right now it feels like a lot of my new upload views are just from subscribers, I haven't checked the analytics recently. (Probably should.)

I'm thinking about offering downloads to people who subscribe (Using those pay with a youtube subscribe pages) and seeing how that works out.

Over the last few days I've just been flooding my YouTube channel to broaden the niche and grab every aspect. I've recorded 27 videos and uploaded them all. This is quite a bit of work and a real strain on my throat considering most videos are 30-40 minutes long and I talk the entire time. Hoping to see some results. No conversions(from YouTube) on the book yet, but that's okay. I'm sure I'll get one sometime down the road. Currently my goals are to double my views/day, which I'm sure I can do. Once I do that, I'll double it again, and again, and again.

So to keep this update short, I've revamped my website quite a bit, designed my own theme using bootstrap to focus around donations/funding/sales while not sacrificing any quality and still providing the functionality of a blog with a bunch of tutorials. I also purchased a like-jacker from a BST thread here. I can't tell if it's not working, or if nobody that visits my page is logged into facebook, but we'll see. (I tested it on myself and it worked, and I've gotten a few more likes, but it seems like I'm not getting nearly enough for the session count.)

I've reached out to my network for some branding and I'll see what they can offer me. Hopefully I don't have to spend much money to get a decent channel design and some branding done.
