A few years ago I started a journey. Gave up quite quick because I didn't get the results and didn't make money. I was really stupid back then. I didn't want to learn marketing and seo 
So about 10 months ago I started to learn seo myself. And learned a lot on the internet and here on the forums. But black hat ways are not my thang, or so it seems. So I wanted to do it the white hat way. Building a quality and authority blog. It seems smm is something I really like and gotten quite good at it. Of course I'm not an expert but I do beginning to understand what works and why something becomes popular. Kind of viral marketing-ish
Turns out reddit, imgur and tumblr works wonders for me. I started 12 days ago with both reddit and imgur. 8 days ago I started a new blog. The results are far more than I thought and expected. But very happy.
So far these are the results:
reddit 8874 link and 61 comment karma earned in 12 days
imgur 5743 reputation since 12 days
tumblr blog 109 followers since 8 days
Again I'm not a expert by a long shot but I tested and analyzed a lot of things why something becomes popular. Tested it out and so far 5 things I posted went viral(out of the 83 things I posted).
I also putten some screenshots of the stats so far. Using both clicky, flagcounter and google analytics. I do use affiliate links on the blog. I did not posted anything here until I gotten some form of succes. And now I did. The click rate is not that high, but I think that is normal. Over 4 k impressions and 13 clicks.
I do hope to that my journey will help some other people as well And this will help me stay motivated to continue.
But since I'm still a "newbie" when it comes to making money I wonder if I should add some cpm network as well? Or how to monetize this blog? I mean other than affiliates. I will keep on going of course and this time I will persevere this no matter what. I too want to know the feeling of making money with a site/ blog.
