I was thinking that I will buy some cheap journals from the local magazine store and get them typed by a semi-skilled worker for some cash. Do you think these articles will pass copyscape?
How is this idea as a whole?
I thought of drag0n naturally speaking but I broke my laptop and my pc does not have high configurations.

I would guess that it would pass copyscape. Your best bet is to just do 2-3 articles and check them. If they pass, you're in good shape.

Some magazines print the articles online as well so you would have to do a bit of research on which ones you use.

Also, if you have a scanner, there are programs that will recognize the words in the image and translate them to text. That could save you some typing time/money.
 
If you're going to rip magazine articles I'd say go to some flea markets and find people selling old magazines. I pick up stuff from the 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's for nickles all the time. I use them for content ideas, not to rip the articles, but I've checked a bunch along the way and never found any of the articles online. So this would be a fast and cheap way to grab content that isn't duplicate online if you wanted to.
 
Hey I tried that but used brochures instead of mags. It does work. I wrote a few articles from info gatherd from brochures about products and health related to the niche I was in then submitted them to article dir. and the site jumped up from 0 to a pr of 2 real quick. The guy who owns the site has actually gotten some biz from the articles also. Another thing I did was ad a language translator to the site and the portugal version for some reason kicked ass.

I think it would work. My only problem is the ethical dilemma of stealing the work of another person and passing it off as your own.
 
I would assume it could pass copyscape, only if you're having someone rewrite the article. That should make the article unique, per se. You could also try to add more content to the original article, that's what i do.
 
Could scanning work? You would need a scanner and good OCR software, but perhaps that could work as well and may even be cheaper. If outputted to a blog, then the average OCR mistake might be passed off as a typical spelling mistake, commonly found in blogs. One thing to check- best if the publication doesn't have its own website since it may be using that content online, in which case your content would be duplicative (not the end of the world, but would limit effectiveness).

they would pass copyscape 100%!! well 99% and without rewriting.

And i know this is Blackhat forum, but i wouldnt do it, since its stealing:) i would be ok with rewriting it and then using:)
 
I did this before with brouchers and submitted my articles to AC and also a few directories, got accepted easily and of course passed copyscape. But do a research and test a few of them before doing this big time. Testing is very important before you start something.

If someone did this with one of your articles, I'm sure you'd be ready to kill them. I've seen threads where authors go on a tirade when someone steals their work and posts it somewhere else.

BH doesn't necessarily mean illegal. You have to draw a fine line between doing things that are sneaky and illegal. You can be banned from a site for violating terms of service but you can face civil or criminal penalties for committing a crime. There's a difference. And I draw the line at doing something illegal.

Use the work of others as research and the foundation for something new you've created. Don't just steal because it's a quick way to make a buck.

To save time I agree with finding the software that will translate the scanned page into text. Also, if you just plan on using it for content for the search engines, not submitting to article directories, just cite the magazine author (without linking). Look for older publications that has since disappeared.
 
this is not new.. You can also ripoff pdf's. If you get caught then you're fucked tho. Is it worth it?
 
What about using an OCR? Scanning and then convert it to text with an OCR?

@luke.. pdf's are generally already online... I tried checking a few.. they were all indexed by google etc..
