Just got e-mails from various domain providers, that .dev will be up for early registrations soon. Interestingly enough, it will be mandatory to have SSL along with the domain for it to function properly.

Early registrations start Feb 19th with an extra fee, but no information about the extensions price.

Thoughts? Worth the investment?

Worth noting that Google holds the rights to .dev. registry.

I think i read in gandi website that it'll be about 20$ for the pre-sale.

GoDaddy lists that on Feb19th it will be 10k for some reason. The domain itself will just cost 10-20 it seems.
