I have a relatively easy mns site that is suppose to be easy to rank according to traffic travis but after creating a couple web 2.0s, article submission, and a social bookmark bomb. It still no where to be seen. Other sites usually rank in the top 10 after a sb bomb but not this site. what gives?

is it worth pursuing the dream of top 10 or is some keywords just destined to be alone?

First, never trust the difficult rating shown in TT. They are inaccurate! Spend time analyzing the on-site/off-site SEO factors of the top 10 sites.

How old is your site? Is it indexed?

thanks for the quick reply. The site is about 3 months old. my sites usually get indexed naturally but I just checked and its not!

I guess this changes the direction of the thread haha

there are two possible reasons as far as i know. you either registered a dropped domain which is banned by google or your blog settings prevents google from indexing your site.

Can you share the exact match search volume?

Exact Global- 4400
Exact Local- 3600

just made sure my blog settings are not private so that just leaves the possibility of a dropped domain. i used iwebtool but it was not clear. any advice how to check?

i added this domain to webmaster tools and resubmitted the sitemap. the blogs content is pretty thin so new content is in the works. hopefully that helps

This is true. I once registered a exact-match domain with more than 4 million searches. After about 16 months of wasted effort ranking the site, I later discovered that it was once registered in 2004 and later dropped in 2007.

You can check in "Way Back Machine"

Code:
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

It will show you some of the archived pages if the domain was previously registered and used.

Just check your webmaster account after some times. You will come to know what is preventing your site from indexing.

lol, he is saying, check your webmaster tools account later on and find the reason why your site is not Indexed! Tools will show you any errors or problems regarding your site..!

Better not bombing a website if the website is new. Google is much smarter now you know.

Dont bomb your site - create 1st tier with web2.0 like blogspot, get uniq article to there - then add that to social bookmarks and spam those social bookmark links everyway you can imagine. Also ping every now and then.
