If that is not bad enough, once you have gone through the rigmarole of finding the control panel on shitty windows 8, you can't uninstall your shite program because it is still fucking running and dictating what you can or can't do on the internet. I have news John, if I want to want porn on my laptop, or check my account, I will do so with or without your permission.

used mcaffee 4 years with auto renewel by phone 30 quid a year to cover
3 computers, only ever install virus software and firewall , never had an issue
with it, not saying others havnt, but ok here.

i dont install any of the other stuff

buy laptops with just freedos pre-installed or reinstall the OS after formatting the drive (if you buy a laptop with preinstalled Win, you'll have a legit key to arm the reinstalled OS), not just McAfee, but laptop manufacturers also like to put useless junk on their laptops, new Windows OSes are able to find the majority of the missing drivers, you don't have to look for them manually anymore, so you're pretty safe to give it a clean reinstall

on the other hand i don't really see the point in using Win 8, 8.1 anymore on a new machine, Win 10 is superior in every aspect

if i were you, i'd just format the drive and install Win 10

To be fair, the guy hasn't had anything to do with McAfee for around 15 years. It's the new owners you probably want to flip off. John is a beast to be honest. Eccentric as f*ck.
