A lot to take in....

Wow...I just stumbled upon this website a couple days ago and it seems like a gold mine, but I have no idea where the heck to start....I'm a 20 year old college student and my parents have been trying to get me to look for work for the summer (which is about 1 month away) I don't want to work some crappy retail job or work in a grocery store like everyone else my age and some of the ideas on this site are really enticing, but like I said I have no idea which path to go down and where to start...I've looked through a couple different options such as website flipping, SEO, and a few others but I'm just really confused....I know you guys probably get this a lot on this forum but what is the best option to make money with? I'm not looking to make six figures or anything with this although that would be nice, I'd be happy with even $80/day. Everyone on this forum seems very knowledgeable and I'm not sure where to start...which method did you start making money with when you were my age???

I'd say you should get that crappy retail job and in your free time read here and learn to build (or use some of the money from that retail job and buy) an adsense or Amazon affiliate site. Meathead has a pretty awesome Amazon affiliates step by step going right now.

If you start now you should be making a decent full time wage off a few sites by next summer and not have to work. Plot twist, since you are in college, you should have access to some poor college kids willing to be article writers that would be happy either write for you pretty cheap or edit some non native articles you have written. There's a reason they song goes "What do ya do with a BA in English?"

PS: Don't major in anything stupid. Look at job boards online. If you can't find anyone hiring for your degree, switch now before you have a useless piece of paper and student loans like me.

Just to reiterate, this is good advice. A month isn't enough time for a newbie to learn and start earning $80/day within a month. You'll be lucky if you make $80 over the course of your entire summer. Best to get a job and save up some money to invest in online projects while you learn and experiment on the side. Stick with it and by next summer you might not have to worry about getting a job.

Yeah I'm looking at meatheads thread right now, I just bought a domain and have been working on my website this morning...it will be a lot of work but i'm hoping it will pay off!
