My website has been live for 1 year but my site was not appearing in the top 300 google results for the brand name.

Today I just created some of the social media pages for the site and now the site is appearing for the brand name on the second page.

Pages were created just 2 hours ago and I used Webmaster Fetch to index homepage and its direct linked index pages option.

You have to create a unique and quality articles with the pages and submit a sitemap to see the changes in the search console.
Now you have the age of the domain then you have to build backlinks and leverage your contents.
Gradually make quality backlinks and Make an article consistently.
Make your site mobile responsive and user-friendly.
Your Title tags and meta description is much important so concentrate on that.
Do some Infographic content and Video content to get some different backlinks apart from contextual links.
