A little help with writing articles

Hey everyone!

I started writing recently and get hit with writer's block a lot. So, I made a list of things to include in my articles when I get stuck and thought of sharing it here. Of course not everything is suitable for all styles of articles so use the ones that are right for your content.

Writing for me is natural.

If you're a person who knows how to talk / voice yourself well, you're simply writing those same thoughts

When creating a story, I have no real format. I try to be as genuine as possible but keeping the basic rules of English grammar learned in high school, completely in tact.

I do follow the "thesis as last sentence of paragraph" rule and also remind people of what the thesis says, with the last paragraph, driving home that point

Content between = details of 'who , what, when, how , where'

Imagine yourself talking to someone about the story, in a formal way, it may help you

In my own experience, that block went away after I wrote 300 articles.

As with everything, practice makes perfect. Just write, read it out loud, and implement fixes. That's it.

This is an interesting approach to getting past writers block! What I do is just grab a good ol pen and paper and start writing. It can be hard at first but with effort I always get past it that way.

This is actually really smart of you. Nice to have all of these things on one list. I am keeping this, thanks!

I would also add that good writing is followed after some reading. The more you read the better writer you are becoming.

Good suggestions when you need some added filler text. A few good suggestions from others here, also.
