Hey everyone.

So if you're anything like me then you understand how much of a B procrastination is. I'm currently studying how to beat it and improve productivity, so I would like some help from my BH friends. If you want to help, all I need you to do is answer the following question:

What do you think contributes to your procrastination?

Thanks for your time. I appreciate it.

I am facing the same issue like you man........everytime i wake up in the morning i feel dull so i try to motivate myself and try to bring a smile on my face...

To beat procrastination I always think.

*This is the only life I have. One day I will be gone forever and I will never have another chance to be reborn again. I will do everything I can today so I can be closer to my goal tomorrow. If I don't do anything for my self who will? No one.

Time wasted will never come back*

I was prescribed adderall so the only time I procrastinate is when it wears off, or when I get up in the morning. Adderall sucks though to be honest. Makes ya sweat like a race horse and you don't eat... AKA you feel like poo some days and other days you just do so much stuff and then when the drug wears off your body is super exhausted because of all the work you have done.

I suggest you to take a look at simpleology.com. They are build on increasing productivity, and it helped me a great deal. You might learn some things there!

In general, procrastination is simply "Taking inefficient actions". There is no "doing nothing". We always do something, even if we simply sit on our butt and watch tv.

Also, unlike some here say, it has nothing to do with laziness or lack of discipline. It always depends on WHAT we have to do. For example, you need a gun pointed to my head, otherwise I'd never do bookkeeping. :D On the other hand, I love to do MMA workouts until I can't move anymore. I don't need much "willpower" to do the MMA workouts, but I do need A TON for bookkeeping. This is based on my conditioning (through the environment). I value training a lot, but I hate repetitive tasks. The other side of the extreme - a friends girlfriend - loves to do bookkeeping... but she wouldn't start training MMA in a million years. :D

So, forget all the willpower crap. It means nothing. Everything is based on conditioning through the environment. That means, we actually have no free will, and our decisions are "guided" by the chain of causality (which are our experiences etc., every environmental influence). The best thing you can do is to adjust YOUR ENVIRONMENT to support the good habits, and abolish the bad habits. For example, if you want to eat healthier, make sure that healthy food is easily accessible and unhealthy food isn't. If you want to train, make sure you have everything you need for training in short reach, and maybe get your motivation up with a good quote or a short motivational video.

Manipulate your environment, so the environment has a good impact on you.

warm regards,

It is really bad habit when it comes to study. It distroys my last semester result. To avoid it, all you to get tons of motivation to do it.

I always tell me self to just "Do it". I always think of how far behind I would be if I do not accomplish what I set out to do each day. Each night try to create a "to do" list so that you know exactly what you need to accomplish the next day. Hope this helps.
