This is my first effort, and first time posting, so help would be appreciated. Everything I've read here makes me feel confident in what I've found, but I'm just looking for some guidance.

So, I found a keyword, ranked pretty high on the Google adsense top payout list, found a domain name and threw up a prebuilt portal with thousands of articles. Got indexed on the first page for my target keyword within a week.

My question is, the top 7 or 8 spots are held by a HUUUUGE company, so I know I won't be able to pass them up. Is the traffic this site will get worth it? Google keywords tool estimates between 6k-14k visitors a month (6k local, 14k global), with about 10$ CPC, Google traffic estimator ranks it at about 5$ CPC. Estibot ranks traffic and CPC about the same as the keywords tool, and values the domain name at $1700.

I was able to pick up both the .net and .org of the name, with Estibot valuing the .org at $1400. What do I do with the .org?

I was going to throw up a blog with the portal site on the .net to make sure I keep the front page spot and hopefully add on some other keywords.

Thanks for the advice in advance, I know you guys will know what to do.
