My name is Shad The Poet, I'm 19 years old and I'm from the suburbs of Chicago. Chicago still my city tho. I love rapping I guess I secretly always had a thing for it, even when I was young i'd just download instrumentals and listen to them because I've always loved music and had a taste for it, good music always makes me feel some type of way....not to sound soft. My first time writing was my sophmore year in high school and I figured I hada gift for it. The lines and metaphors just come natural. I guess you got it when you know you go it and compare yourself to other rappers. I'm underground and love 90s hip hop. MF Doom, Big L, NWA, Easy E, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Wu Tang Clan, DMX, Mobb Deep, G-Unit when they were together, Eminem, Snoop and Dre, Twista, Cypress Hill, Three six mafia, Big Pun, J Dilla and pretty much anyone that can spit good hip hop with good creativity and flow. Rap these days lack that why I'm not mainstream. You'll see me on some mainstream beats but believe me I'm hip hop all the way. I hope y'all feel the way I do this, I'm in this to rep my city hip hop wise and chase the dream.
