I was digging around learning how to use RSS feeds for helping my sites SERPS.
I learned that one thing RSS feeds can be used for is to get backlinks discovered quicker than they would have otherwise been found. By creating feeds of URLs that have a backlink to your site and submitting them, those backlinks will get indexed faster.
I took a little time to collect a list of RSS Services. I ran them through the ScrapeBox "Alive Check" add-on and ended up with a list of 128 of them.
I thought I would share them with everyone.
If I am submitting feeds that contain URLs with a backlink to my site, I believe that it is probably not going to transfer much juice because most of these URLs are loaded with outgoing links (spammed blogs).
I would expect that submitting my feed to the 128 services I mentioned above would be good enough to get them picked up by Google and Yahoo!.
Q: Is my assumption correct (128 submissions is plenty to get the backlinks found - and submitting to 1000 would just be a waste of time)?
