Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself, and tell you a little about me.
I'm 29yrs old, I'm going through a divorce, have a 3 year old, and live at my sisters house.
I have a job that pays 35k a year, and its not enough to get out of this hole I am in. I have been reading a lot of the great posts here for months! I am really impressed with the teamwork and the kindness you show each other.
I finally created an account last night, because I am tired.
Tired of not being able to provide the way i want to for my daughter.
Tired of not getting what I want out of life.
Tired of doing the same thing and getting the same lack luster results.

I am new to SEO and need to start with the basics. I DO need help with where to start(maybe you can recommend a e-book(s) or something), but have a good idea of how to run a drop shipping business.

My plan is to guide you through my journey, and share my successes(and failures), to help the next guy figure it out!

My name btw, to me, means using different online measures to obtain success, and yeah... I have a dirty mind....

Aaaanyway, any help, reading materials, pointers in the right direction will be greatly appreciated, and I thank you all at BHW for giving me the courage to be MORE.

Hard to find people these days willing to get out of the hole their in with dignity picking
up and job and side work.

Are you a previous business man? If not here are some tips...

1. Contacts - Build them immediately.
2. Pick one thing and make it earn you money before moving on.

Stop loss - Know when a venture is absorbing to many resources and when to
toss the plan. Most people do this to soon so be stubborn.

3. Treat your online adventures like a full time job and not a hobby.

I don't care what people say it takes a little cash to get going in any venture so
try to be tight with your resources and invest as much as you can.

Thanks RK! I have a background in sales mainly, and thank you for you kind words/advice! As you said, starting with one thing and being successful at that 1st, is my main goal.
 
I've been in the same situation as you (went through a divorce when one of my daughters was 3 years old), so I know exactly what you're going through.

But you also have the biggest motivation to work hard and get what you want - and that's a 3 year old daughter and your desire to provide for her.

You also have one of the most important skills required to make money - sales ability. And that's an offline skill that works just as well online.

Whatever you choose to do online, whether it's email marketing, churn and burn, building long-term websites, writing content - you can bring those sales skills into it and gain an edge over people without sales skills.

Perhaps a good start would be doing something based on the products or services you have sold in the past?

One bit of advice I can give you with regards to your divorce - and this is through experience - always think about your daughter all the way through the process. Divorces always turn acrimonious and your daughter is at an age where she can't understand what's going on, but it will be in her subconscious as she grows up. The key is to make it as pain free as possible for her.

Good luck with your journey. Just remember not to give up when its hard and hopeless, there is light in the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Trepanated, the motivation to do more for her is very important to me. I agree with making things painless for her too, so I make sure to be there for her, even if it's on the phone, when her mom doesn't let me see her. You probably know how hard that can be... I have sold cars, home windows, siding and roofs; cell phones and internet service, so a little of everything. Interesting. I will see if if can implement the knowledge I do have, into a project, once i find a niche.

Update. Started My Amazon sellers account, made my 1st sale for a Polaroid TV, made 30 dollar profit, now im listing a few items now that I got my feet wet. Its a start until I try to add another venture under my belt. YES!!!
 
Good luck with your Journey. My advice would be to pick a niche that you can easily monetize, and focus on that. Reverse engineer sites that are ranking, duplicate and exceed.
