A "journal"area?

Hei,


Recently I have see a lot of "journal" type of threads. You know, the ones like RichUsers "journey to riches" etc.Some of them are real cool, so I am not dissing them what so ever. I think they are actually helpful and inspiring to many.

What do you think of having like a section where people can start their journeys/chronicles. Kind of like a mini blog or something like that.


It could be called BHW Chronicles or something like that


What are your thoughts?

Agreed! I've been thinking about this too and it would be nice to have some kind of journal section.

Yea, I want to start one of these public journals myself. I want to consistently earn $3,000 a month by augest 1st. Doable? I support a new section for this as I don't want to post it in the making money section where methods belong

Agreed - a section for this makes sense. Could also be used for a motivation by the creator - to push it a bit more - for others to actually DO something.

Great idea - got my vote.

Invision Power Board had a great blogs type plugin, I don't know about the current forum solution here, but maybe. I can tell you it really does keep you motivated to do that.

Great idea

I think a success thread/journaling with like tips and daily journals would be nice

Yeah,

like I went through some threads now, and saw that there are so many of these kind of threads Which is cool, but they tend to be in money making section. In my mind that section has always been about money making methods though

Nice idea... I was thinking to set up an journal myself, so I find your suggestion appropriate and reasonable. *thumbs up* :biggthump

How do we bring this to the attention of the mods (im sure they've probably already seen it). I don't want to contribute to the cluttering of making money section. I say keep that section method specific.

Well, the mods are all seeing and allpresent, so I would not worry about trying to contact them about it. I am sure if they think that this is useful idea they will implement it

i come in here just to start a thread about the same idea , only to see it has been suggested so i am also casting my support for this. Mainly because i don't want 10 "my journal" posts in the first page of make money section with due respect to all the authors.

Yeah,

So maybe it could be like a "introduction" section that doesnt really show up in the home page.. Maybe it does, but I was under impression that it doesnt.

What do rest of you think?

Why not use the blog plugin for vBulletin? So each user can have a journal and those who wants to read it can read the blog? And we don't have to have like 20+ journal threads at the frontpage (I think they are awesome, but there are sometimes to many of them ;3 )

Indeed, a lot of journeys lately and always fun to read and to inspire.

Good idea to keep them at one place to keep the other sections cleaner.

I agree with this suggestion.

However I believe that BHW should take advantage of the vBulletin blog software.

Why?

It will benefit BHW.

- It would keep the forums a lot cleaner.

- Many BHW members would use the blogs quite well. What this would do is create tons of pages that are keyword rich. This would benefit BHW's SEO quite a lot more.

Also the blog software is pretty awesome has a lot of the same features as Wordpress. A part from Theme and Plugin usage.

Just my 2c
