I've been going to the gym for 2 years and never used a lock. Well today i learned a very hard lesson. Got 250$ stolen from me from my wallet. Was suppose to use the money to go pay off part of my tuition. I have horrible luck :( never carry that much on me just stopped by the bank and was suppose to take it to school. Then decided to stop by the gym. I usually leave my wallet in my car except sometimes. Guess part of it is my fault.
If any of you go to the gym. Learn this lesson from me. Always use a lock. Never though it would happen to me especially after 2 years but man does it suck. Feeling super down right now.

No i mean like a lock. A locker lock. We have lockers at the gym. That's where they stole it from. Cause my dumb self didn't have a lock on my locker :(

That's lame that people still do that shit. Especially from a gym, but lesson learned. Always use a lock. I've never put my stuff in a gym locker without a lock.

Leave the money at the reception or you're going to have a bad time. I got 250$ stolen from my locker and it was totally locked. They opened it, didn't check my purse but they went for the pocket that's inside my jacket, got my wallet, stole my money and then they locked the locker. I understood that I was robbed when I had to pay my hairdresser an hour later.

I totally know how you feel mate.

Let me guess, you are from a first world country? Me too.
Everyone has to learn this lesson, sooner or later (at least where I am living now).
250$ is a cheap investment to learn this lesson, me it cost me my ~500$ smartphone (stolen in metro).

Here I would never carry this much money (it is more than monthly income here) and if I have to, I would do it only at day, I would not have anyone watch me taking money out from ATM, and I would go STRAIGHT home (preferable with own car, not even taking a taxi, too dangerous.) I never carry more than around 25$ here in this place. It is enough to survive several days and enough that your robber won't get angry or feel "cheated", in case you ever get robbed/assaulted.

Regards

Man that sucks. Lowlife thieves i swear.
Well yeah lesson learned big time :(

yeah i do ...
but man well yeah i guess sucks i had to learn this lesson hope others learn it from me.
Its just i never carry this much money either! I almost always pay everything with card so i hardly have cash on me. Just unlucky i was going to use it to pay of school and well yeah ...

Yeah I usually leave all important possessions at home if I don't need it at the time.
Lesson learned I guess.

Always be aware. Lock your shit. Take care of your stuff. People are bastards.

I don't believe in luck/unluck. ;)
I guess in more than 90% of these cases it was either someone near to you / some you know, or they followed you since the ATM.
Nowadays doesnt even matter much anymore where u come from.. With all those immigrants in Europe, for them it is much money. And in USA the situation is not much better, probably worse (idk).

Regards

Well when I walked in there was only one person that was cleaning idk might of been him not sure. Either way the money is lost. Sucks man.

Thats the reason I dont bring any wallets or phones into the gym, I normally leave them at home or in my car. My buddies shoes got stolen so its possible these days they'll take anything so always be careful when it comes to leaving something in public. Also for regarding the locks in the locker room, every key works for all the locks so not exactly safe

Grats OP. You just bought someone's next T cycle.

Who caries cash anymore anyway?

In my gym, you can rent a locker for half a euro. Except that, yes, it's better to have a locker, even your shoes could get stolen liked it happen to a friend of me.

That sucks. The same thing happened to my friend, but it was his Iphone that someone stole. (He quit the gym)

Your wallet should stay in the car.

Sorry, next time dont keep much with you.
Even if u decided to keep use this lol!

Not trying to hurt you, but just trying to make u forget your mistake

If you have a respectable gym they should have cameras in the locker rooms, ask them if they could look over the footage and see if they could spot the person who did this.
