A$$hole customers

    To the guys who sell online services and not just in the BST section of this site I mean everywhere I online do you get a lot of a$$hole customers??

    iv been selling for around 18 month now and more recently I get threatened by people telling me if I don't deliver the service in time they will spread bad reviews on scam sites etc (this is before the time frame is even up) which is just rude and a really arrogant approach, it's as though they love having the power to make me do the work, even though that's what I get paid to do anyway. I find it hard to reply nicely and keep professional. 99% of people are happy with what I do but I get random disputes saying they are not satisfied with my service even though there's nothing to be unhappy about. It's a simple service what I do and it's pretty darn hard to be unsatisfied.

    I use paypal and have to constantly make more accounts because I get idiots raising disputes wanting things for free! Is it just me or does everyone suffer this kind of thing? I deal business to business too which is worrying knowing these people own businesses. I'd never buy anything from these guys.

    Always keep calm and be professional. If you're getting that many complaints, then something is wrong with your service. Occasionally, you will run into that "bad apple", but most are good customers and I usually don't expect more than one complaint. And no one can raise disputes to get something for free :). They have to have a legitimate reason for refunding. If nothing is wrong, then you shouldn't have a problem. GL with sales.

    It's all in the numbers.. what percentage of your customers a) complain to you, b) threaten you, c) file a paypal dispute? And what is the total number of customers per month? If you're dealing with hundreds of customers, it can be kinda easy to forget that 90% of them are lovely and happy, because the ones that take all your time, and therefore are at the top of your mind, are the complaining bitches.

    In a 'real world' business I was involved in previously, we used to expect that about 10% of people would tell us we're too expensive, and if it dropped below that, we'd raise our prices - otherwise, we're leaving too much on the table!

    Maybe you are doing something wrong then and not providing them with high quality services? I have actually got only few bad customer reactions through many years online. If somebody would even try to be rude with me WITHOUT ANY REASON I would never even start working with them. I would just refund their money and that's all.

    However in your case maybe they have a reason if they even rise your Paypal disputes? (I've never had one).

    4 Percent Customers are usually bad customers dont let them control your nerves just focus on your service and buisness you will endup doing less worrying about bad customers

    Well, you should be delivering on time regardless of assholes being assholes. With that said, those customers do suck, but it's something to get used to when doing business. Stay professional and good things will come of it!
