A good approach for generating additional income for a software developer?

Ok got it, I have a couple of friends who are good programmers as well in a different spheres, but anyway - you need an idea)
I had a couple of ideas at some point, would have been great to have a developer I could trust to work together on them, seeing that I would probably have a marketing plan for my ideas:) Especially an app developer:) That's why it just seems like you haven't found the right partner yet:)

I can help you, answer some of these questions and I can help you make good money (COMPLETELY WHITEHAT IDEA)
1. Do you know C++/C# and to what extent? (REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF C++)
2. Do you have any experience in reverse engineering?
3. Do you have any experience in creating video game cheats?
4. What's your experience using Cheat Engine, IDA, dnSpy, olydbg, and other reverse engineering software?

If you answered yes to at least 2 of these questions, send me a PM

Was just being facetious mate ;)

What's your experience and what kinds of things do you like to build?
Well, everything related to web programming, finances as well, I have also had an idea of IoT stuff and was almost ready for manufacturing of this thing and selling on amazon, but Corsair firm made the same thing and started selling it) Also a couple of years ago I was desktop programmer

Create a lead generation site for prospects who wish to create a software (for example a price estimation site), and promote this site via Google ads. Then contacts the leads and works for them?

I'm a web developer and it's an idea that crossed my mind a long time ago but I've never tested it, maybe it's worth it.

Ideally, maybe you ads should target specifics niches in the software industry.

I know C# and was doing a lot of reverse engineering when was creating web scrapers, but it was mostly frontend.
I don't think that creating a cheat is a whitehat idea, you can get yourself into troubles

I have ideas almost every day, but when I check internet looks like humanity already invented literally everything)

If you're good with C++ get into crypto bot building.. can make a fortune and it's really interesting work. I'm no good with C++ but have built quite a few bots in Python that have done well.

Difference is, if you can code in C++ you can build competitive HFT bots (high frequency trading), which is where the coin is. You need to be fucking good though and be prepared to dive into technical analysis head first, but you'll be rich in 3 years tops and probably get hire by hedge funds if you're really good.
I know technical analysis and investing my money as well. What about HFT I think I am not sure how can you start it in my country (I am from Russia). If you will connect to broker you get all the prices with delay + there are brokerage commissions, etc. Maybe you have a little guide with some examples? At least something from where I can start. I have C, Rust, C++ devs (who are my friends) - they can help with it.

If you are not Chinese/Korean/Japanese it's all completely legal to do. The only ever "issue" I got was Epic requesting me to discontinue Fortnite cheat sales, they couldn't do much but I just decided to honor their shit not to get into trouble with them (it wasn't a cease and desist, just a legal request)

That's not the point:) You are a great developer, I`m sure..Someone with financial power could be able to provide the marketing power and knowledge to get the necessary roi:) Developing something isn't everything:)

Android apps are profitable to a great extent
You'll just have to figure out the marketing part to drive first set of users

Indian guys just send freelancing stuff into deep deep hole. Why client should hire you if you want 20$\hour, but indian guy is ready to work for 5$\hour? Even if he is much worse programmer than I
That’s the thing, he may be better than you. And of course he is ready to work for 5$/hour more than you are for 20$/hour because it’s a very good hourly rate salary for India. I prefer to earn 5$/hour in India than 20$/hour in the US.

There are always someone better than you. It is rules of the world.

Reading again my comment it may seem rude and I’m sorry. I was just saying that the price doesn’t have anything to do with the skills because the country cost of life will determine the price.
