A good approach for generating additional income for a software developer?

I think you should develop some software as a side hustle

I already tried. No luck. It was a financial SaaS. Nobody just subscribed it, however I tried to advertise it on ms ads (google blocked me, because there was word 'FINANCIAL' on the website). For now I just don't have any ideas what I can make

How good of a developer are you?:) Did you ever think of going into JVs?:) And possibly just code a better idea of someone?:)

Saas or freelance
Indian guys just send freelancing stuff into deep deep hole. Why client should hire you if you want 20$\hour, but indian guy is ready to work for 5$\hour? Even if he is much worse programmer than I

I am a senior in .NET and python, what is JV? What about coding - yes, I am ready to code for someone, but need gurantees, lol. I've already tried this approach and this man just tricked me and haven't paid for a month of job.

If you dont want to go down the freelancing route and go more automated, anything you can create that can bring targeted traffic can then be monetized.

But, if you want guarantees best getting a better paid job!

I know, that's what I already do on my main job) But to earn A LOT OF money you need to have something own, like SaaS or business, but I just don't have any ideas literally

I'll help you with the idea, I'll even tell what exactly you need to build. If interested PM me

I wanted to make a blog, but saw a couple of threads on quora that it is almost impossible to monetize obvious website. Something like '99.9% of bloggers earn < 50$\month'. Is this possible to earn at least 1000-2000$\month if you have a good programming blog, or use google translate API to translate some articles from my native language to english and put it on my website?

How can I write you, man? Don't see this button. Maybe my rating is too small? How can I contact you in any other way?

It's all about the places you advertise.
Advertise in a place where people look to hire indians / 3rd world people with 1$ / h , get jobs like that
Advertise in a place where people look for professionals, you'll get more professional gigs ;)

JV means joint venture and it basically means working together with someone on his idea. The best part about JVs is that you can set your terms beforehand, you both own the business and you both get paid when it brings in profit. So you aren't in any risk, you develop something with someone and then you both try to market it

Ok got it, I have a couple of friends who are good programmers as well in a different spheres, but anyway - you need an idea)

Was just being facetious mate ;)

What's your experience and what kinds of things do you like to build?

If you're good with C++ get into crypto bot building.. can make a fortune and it's really interesting work. I'm no good with C++ but have built quite a few bots in Python that have done well.

Difference is, if you can code in C++ you can build competitive HFT bots (high frequency trading), which is where the coin is. You need to be fucking good though and be prepared to dive into technical analysis head first, but you'll be rich in 3 years tops and probably get hire by hedge funds if you're really good.
