A general blog

I'm thinking of making a blog using my name so I can talk about all that interests me instead of just one subject. I had a money earning blog (GPT and stuff) and a webmaster blog but I got bored of it and shut it down (kept the domain, just moved the forums to the root and got rid of blog.mysite.com). Could it earn well? Most of my interests are close to the same but I'd like to talk about anything I care about and right now I don't have any blogs.

Do people make blogs about a niche and just forget about them usually when they are trying to rank for a keyword they found? Or do they make a static site with some info a product they're looking for?

What type of blogs did you have before? Im in the process of the same thing, i feel it'll be easy when you have something that you love and consistently talk about and have interest in. Interest, some SEO, buy some traffic(facebook, youtube), and maybe come out with some vlogs on your blogs to give it a comfortable feel= POPULaR BlOG
