A Game Developer's journey to $5,000 a day!

DUDE! Many pewdiepie fans are hungry for horror games! You must make something like that and send to pewdie or other youtubers you would get traffic really fast :)

That idea came into my mind as well, but hes mostly playing jumpscare games, isn't he?

You really should finish that zombie game, looks like you put quite a bit of work into it. I already see a lot of potential in it, I mean who doesn't love zombies?

Do you have any other competitors who have built a similar game like that?

Many, but I don't consider them as competitors, if you know what I mean. Except Dead Trigger. :) But my game will be different.

Still so much things to do... I feel myself "The Workin' Dead" lol. But the game is getting nicer day by day, worth my pains. :D

You can find the game's fanpage on facebook (/deadlanegame)

ADVICE:
I think the best way to monetize an app is to buy android app ratings in bulk, isn't it?
like 15000 five star ratings and then you will be in top twenty five apps in your country. Then you can get the dice rolling.

Love the screenshots! Though damn I feel your pain!! Modeling, rigging and animating zombies is going to be extremly hard! My main rule when I make games.... Stay away from people! I've had quite a few failed trys at rigging! Good luck looking forward to see mkre!

I'm following your FB page and the game looks great. Keep working and you'll eventually get there. It seems that you already have the right mindset to succeed.
Good luck with your journey!

Yeah waiting for an update OP
and good-luck with your Journey

i'm also thinking of getting into one, but rather than developing i was looking into reskining. Went to apptopia and saw few pretty interesting apps that has potential, but the revenue reported was crap.

So i'm wondering how do you calculate the earning potential of your app?

I do like to develop games too. I will try as well one day :D
Good luck on your journey.

Best Luck with your Journey.
My Suggestions:
-Make someone your Partner, That can help you with Financial to make work fast on your Game, and He and you can Earn In End.
-Open some Service at Here, with your Level Skills, I am 100% Sure you will get some Good work at BHW, and which can Help you with Your Game Building.
-Try to get some Loan from Bank if you think this game can do Great on Launch and you can return it.
Because working Physically and Virtually Make Difference. I Remember I was working in Call Center in 2004 and was Trying my first attempts to make something work for me Online too. But that was a Hard time for me. As I was studying, Working at Call Center, in a Small Mall as Helper and trying at Online to Make things work.
Anyways, Best Wish for you. and your Game.

dude you have a great journey going on, but now you're talking about finishing in a few months? As an app developer myself may I HIGHLY suggest you greatly scale back this first app and get something out in a week before all this comes crashing down as it almost always does. Put your big project on hold for now, finish a game. Finish something. You need some momentum. I know how it is working alone on bigger projects. I made all those same mistakes at first.

I made an app yesterday. It took me about 6 hours and I showed it off to my social accounts for the rest of the day. Today I uploaded it. Now I wait for it to be approved and I'll market it. In two days time I made an app and had it submitted.

I suck at this stuff, so don't think I'm saying I'm better than you because I am NOT! I just don't want to see you get bogged down in a big project and lose your momentum because this is a really great journey and I want you to make it.

Believe me, it feels so much better to make a quick app in a few days and get it making money every day while you make another. You can reach your goal with easy simple apps at first and more complicated apps over time when you have a team together.

Do you pay for the monthly pro version or the lifetime one?

Was wondering if i should purchase the lifetime one but its very costly :(

Haven't posted here for a while, mainly because I was very sick for a long time (still tired as hell). But! I made a simple game in a few hours as rockwell recommended and uploaded it to the Play Market already, ill let you know more information about it as soon as it actually appears on the market.

Just wanted to tell you all who are interested in the outcome of this thread, im not gone, and i will continue posting here!
