So a sealed Original iPhone Sells for Over $63000 at Auction https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/02/tech/first-generation-iphone-auction/index.html.

How about we buy something that we think it will become a big hit and sell it after some years. The margin is higher than crypto and safer. What do you think?

How is it safer?

The iPhone person just got lucky that they had this exact product that got very popular and never got re-released.
There are people investing in such stuff, but it's not a safe investment. Many products never get popular and you stay with a shitty new originally wrapped product that nobody wants.
Sometimes manufacturers re-release stuff, like some old Lego sets. And investors who had a stockpile of old products lose money.

And you know what is the biggest problem? If anyone had an originally sealed iPhone and knew there was demand, they'd sell it as soon as it hit $2000, not wait years until it possibly reaches $63k. Same goes for early Bitcoin investors. People are saying stuff like "Imagine! If I bought the Bitcoin for $100, I would be a millionaire!". No, you wouldn't be a millionaire. You would have sold the Bitcoins as soon as they were $300, thinking that you made the deal of a lifetime.
