A Few Tips for Torrent Uploading

I have a few tips for those of you who are uploading torrents for ppi,cpa or whatever you are doing. I manage to get a lot of seeds/peers to my torrents everyday and thought I would share what I am doing with BHW.

- Upload to ThePirateBay + Mininova. 1 Torrent per Account and Change your IP every Account. If you have a dynamic ip this is easy to do just search google as the steps will be different depending on your router. If you have a static ip your going to have to look into proxies.

- I find the larger the file the more peers/seeds you will see. Don't worry if your connection is not fast enough to seed the torrent in a few hours. If you are uploading a 2GB file and it takes 2 days to seed, you will have to wait 2 days to see the income from the torrent but once it is done seeding it will finish 100's of peers at once. I always have a few large files seeding in Utorrent.

- Keep a look out for new torrents popping up on Mini/TPB. When a new app or game comes out if you jump in quick you can make a lot of money. I got in quick when Windows 7 Came up and made a bunch of cash from a few Windows 7 torrents. Heres a few examples that will be sure to still get a bunch of peers ( Windows 7, Spore, GTA, Photoshop, Microsoft Office)

- Descriptions are important and will attract more peers and keep your torrent up for longer. If you are uploading an app then find the description off the apps site. If you feel this takes too much time then I would just copy/past the title as your description. This works fine but a longer description will definitely help.

-Always experiment with your torrents. Find which ones are attracting more peers and which torrents bomb. If you find a torrent that is working well just multiply the torrent and change the name. I had 4 Windows 7 Torrents going at one time last week. If I upload an app that doesn't receive many peers I always try it at least once more just incase mini/tpb deleted it too fast.

Great tips man. I do the opposite of you. I create 600 torrents at a time and mass upload them using my own software. I do this for two reasons. 1, the more the merrier, and two, it is really helping work the kinks out of my software. My torrents are small in size, so I don't get many seeds, but they get lots of downloads anyways because they don't take long to download. Oh and I'll add I avoid Mini and TPB, and I still get in the ballpark of 300 to 500 downloads per day.

sniper, how does one create 600 torrents at a time?!

Sniper sounds like that would work great, but you have the software of course. 300-500/day per torrent or in total?

There is a python script I found over on the PPI forum that does it all in one command line execute. Here is the command:

e:\python25\python.exe e:\python25\btcompletedir.py http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce E:\folderOfExes

Obviously it requires python, but it is the best windows solution I know of.

I created a piece of software that I load up with keywords and it creates the exes to my liking. This is not binding. It is my own method that one day I will release once I get all the kinks worked out.

Thats 300-500 total, not per torrent.

Oh I have seen up to 1000 peers to one of my torrents. 300-500 to one torrent is common to see in my utorrent haha.

Yes, but the real question is how much time are you wasting on an individual who just spent a bunch of time downloading a 2gb file just to either get it flagged by an AV or have to enter a password to use it. I believe that in the torrent world, its quantity vs quality.

Yes but with a 2GB file you will have 100's of peers finish downloading at once, It also depends if your using cryted exe, downloader etc. I am out of the ppi game so my torrents stay up for quite a while since they are not adware. Your method probably works great too Sniper. But if manually uploading to torrent sites I would much rather upload 1 2GB file instead of 30 smaller files.

New to uploading torrents but if i can ask...how often do you find your torrents taken down because you are asking for password etc for cpa? I would of thought the other minor torrent sites would be better as you don't see as many comments on those. Obviously the 2 mentioned get a lot more traffic, are there better ways to monetise your downloads than using password protected files for cpa? I'm still in research mode for these methods

How do you monetize viralguy?

i mostly do the password thing for CPA, then top it off with PPI by combining the desired softs .exe with some PPI toolbar or whatever. once the user installs his software, PPI offer installs with it. two 4 one.

You will bet banned a lot faster from Mini/TPB with password protect files but the extra traffic you receive should be worth it. I mean experiment yourself but Mini + TPB are the only sites I upload to, up to about $500/day now from torrents.

Thanks for the response - sure i'll find a way that suites. Like the idea that the larger files could mean you have many downloading before any comments or bans come up.

Not surprised you're up to $500/day if you're using SSM, wish i had the spare dough to cough up for it.

Correct, but you can have multiple files in one folder and you only need to execute the command once for it to create a torrent for every file you want.

I'm new to torrents and wanted to try and see if I could get something to go viral with torrents as a way to make some extra cpa cash.

Problem is everytime I uploaded my torrent, it got deleted. It wasn't some spammy PDF either. I took a real world magazine, put it into PDF form and added a couple extra pages with my ads on them.

PDfs were gone pretty quick. I don't know why. Other PDFs of magazines seem to stay on forever and go viral.

Any ideas where I might have fucked up?

Oh and what is "SSM"?
