    1. If a forum only displays its user profile pages behind a password protected page, will that profile link even get indexed?

    2. In scrapebox, you have 3 blog types: wordpress, moveable type, and blog engine. From what I can understand, the default settings for wordpress and moveable type blog comments is nofollow meaning they don't get indexed?

    3. Assuming 2 to be correct, what particular footprint should I be searching for to find those type of blogs that are d()follow?

I'm kind of an seo noob...

    1) some times forum admins allow SE robots to view profile page so sometimes based on the confg the admin used they may or mayn't get indexed
    2) no follow means the SE spider wont follow the link i.e it wont crawl your site making that link Nearly useless IMHO

    1. Like mmgur said it depends on the forum. I have had forum profiles been indexed but when I followed it it asked me to log in that shows there are some forums which allow SEs to crawl ember pages. If you are so particular about being able to see the link then go for publicly viewable profiles

    2. They will get indexed. ( if they wouldnt why would people sell and buy wordpres auto approve list ) . The deifference between do follow and no follow is that do follow passes the link juice to you where as no follow does not. BUt doesn't mean that no follow is not important . It is for a lot of things including but not limited to link diversity

    3. There are no particular foot print to find d0 f0ll0w blogs as far as I know. But what you can do is use SB to scrape blogs and then use the Do follow checker plugin to find only do follow blogs.

    Hope this helped

I would allways reccomend to look through the cache of the forum profiles - if they exists and are indexed, then google sees them....

Google can't see that shit. LOL

Unless the webmaster wants them to. They can block everyone's access who isn't logged in, but optionally allow access if they are using GoogleBot or Yahoo Slurp useragent (easily spoof...dumb way to protect it) or if it is one of Google/Yahoo's IP addresses (best way to allow them into blocked content). But the webmaster still has to worry about caching if its sensitive/members only stuff.

Google doesn't have any magically power to look into every page of a website including parts that webmasters properly block. Or to know what IP address posted which comments/profiles (I've seen people mistakenly say that a lot on here).

    One more thing...

If the root url is one pagerank, does where you leave the blog comment carry over that pr? Or are most pages pr 0?
