A few questions

I'm going to skip the storyboard here, and get right to the questions.

1) How do users, such as YIFY rip 1080P to 2GB of data, when they are normally 30GB?

2) It seems like there has been a lot of crackdown going on with torrent sites. How does YIFY-torrent stay up?

3) I' am interested in the long run to start a high quality torrent download site, very similar to YIFY in which I will rip the movies. Where would i begin to learn on building a site as such?

Think carefully before going down this road. Is it really worth it.

1. Using handbrake. Google 'Yify handbrake encoder settings' to get more information on this. Any rip also significantly reduce the bitrate in comparison to original DVDs or Blurays.

2. YIFY was taken down, their domain was seized in 2015, much like KAT they managed to put things together again. Although no one can bet on the authenticity of the new Yify site (or should I say sites)

3. Yify uses a custom script. I don't see any top notch engineering on that part. Setting up a public torrent tracker is pretty easy too, you can learn that easily.
