The only tool I know of that sorts through GoDaddy domain auctions automatically is part of the uber-expensive WPMage system. I think there's definitely a market for such a tool if you were to code one. I know I'd use it.

I find domains on godaddy too. I check them for index and for PR with YCCY - Russian program. It is simple and fast.

Sign up for and use JustDr0pped.com. You can search for all sorts of domains there. Once you find a good one, goto Alexa.c0m>site info tab and see what kind of stats it has. Then go on to the next one.

-Replace the zeros with letter O.

When I look for expired domains. I look for the quality of backlinks. It's the age of backlink that matters. I actually found one domain with a backlink from nasa.gov - PR6 page - not a comment link too.
