Hello, I've started out building my site a few days ago and now it's done. All I need is SEO and promotion.
I've got a few questions:

1. How to check if my site is indexed yet by Google?
2. When should I start submitting backlinks to my website? Should I wait after my site gets indexed?
3. I built a one page Blogger website, do I need a sitemap or something similar?
4. How many high PR backlinks should I send to my website daily?
5. What is a good and free tool to monitor my website in SERPS?
6. What other free SEO tools do you recommend me for monitoring my website and maybe analyze my website's ON-SITE and OFF-SITE SEO?

Thanks.

Quick answers:

1. site:mysite.com
2. Right away, don't wait to get indexed
3. No you don't
4. Impossible to say, start small (like 5-10) and see what happens, unless you're in a competitive niche
5. Almost all rank checkers have a free tier, do a search here on the forum for opinions
6. There are tons of threads about this too, just search for "seo tools" and similar

1 - to check if your website is indexed go to google and type : site:yourwebstedomain.com and see if there is any pages from your websites as a result.
2 - you can start building backlinks after you put some content on your website in your case your website is ready to get some backlinks but do it in a natural way (send a couple quality backlinks everyday or so... )
3 - i don't think you need to create one for blogger its automatically created (i guess)
4 - to be honest with quantity isn't important it's the quality that matters so try to build your backlinks on High quality / authority websites and you can start with a small number of backlinks and keep going on
5 - if you are not targeting too many keywords you can use "SEO SERP" a google chrome extension , or you can take a look on the download section of the BHW section im sure you'll find a good rank tracker.
6 - you can use ahrefs.com / opensiteexplorer.org / backlinkswatch.com these are so usefull .

i hope this helps you and im sure the other members are going to add lots of things :)
goodluck

SerpBook has a free trial period and then it's only about $5 month for their lowest tier. I use it to track my keywords and it's one of the best tools out there on the market.

Another question: Is SEO through backlinking dead? Because I read that many times around the internet. I need SEO for a relatively small niche, <12k monthly searches.

Thanks.

that's completely wrong, I do recommend you to check all the BST threads and make a choice.

maybe all answer you need are already done answer,, what we have to say is doing SEO maybe its whitehat or not,, be serious what you are doing then you get what you want.............

Thanks for replying.
First of all, what does BST means? Which section or which forum is that?
Also, my site is not indexed yet. Will a few high PR backlinks (be that comments section, direct link or whatever) affect my ranking? I am in a low competition niche, doing PPD. I see people with 25k backlinks on the second page. Do I stand a chance with manual backlinking against them?
And would I get high PR backlinks from HIGH PR DOFOWLLOW forums if I only make a profile there and fill out my website field, but not post a single post on their forum?
What kind of backlinks are effective and can be done without investments? Like blog commenting and such?
Thanks

BST = Buy Sell Section

To index it, did you add it in Google Webmaster Tools?
You can also use something like pingfarm . com to get it indexed faster.

Dunno about the forum question, would like to know the same thing actually.

4. You should be naturally. The really important backlinks are from high DA and PA websites with good content and low cuantity of backlinks.

Add your site to webmaster tools, go to crawl, add a sitemap, and then fetch as googlebot.

It will instantly index your site.

Recommend this answer. Thanks man!

Actually lots of members talk about this question. Simple you can go and search your perfect answer from here. You can see both ways white and black hats...

You can start building backlinks as soon as your website is ready to receive traffic, just start slow with fewer links then increase with time. This would also depend upon your competition.

You can make backlinks as soon as your site ready to get traffic. But just focus more on content marketing and get high PR backlinks.

This question as actual now. But links work and will work tomorrow. The main question is the quality of links. Linkbuilding need to be more natural now. But still works.
