A couple of questions, 1 thread. Backlinks.

Hi,

I hope it's no problem I ask them in one thread and not multiple threads :

1. I did some research in my niches and one site is ranking realy high with only this type of backlinks: http://www.arcenio.biz/ , http://beautifulbridgit.org/?c=11

Are these blognetwork links? And if I want them too, on wich network my blogpost sticks to the homepage so I get the high pr links like this guy?

I want those links too!! He has hundreds of them.. (It is not my competitor though but he ranks with them om a very hard keyword.)

2. Is it harmfull to interlink your own websites? Example: I have a site about cats, and one about cat-toys. Is it ok to make a homepage backlink with pr5 from one site to the other site? (same c class ip). Or if I do this on very small scale with my own sites, it could be good? Because that way I can get really easy a do follow high pr link..

3. Why is do-follow censured at bhw btw? like ********? I don't see the point.

4. My moneysite shows about 1000 backlinks, and 500 of them have my main keyword. Is that relatively too many? So it's too obvious I want to rank for that keyword?

No they're not blog network links, they're simply home page links that have been purchased. You can go on pretty much any outsourcing website like freelancer and get these in bulk for $1/$2 each, but as per the example they look pretty spammy.

I've never had a problem myself, but i've only tried it with 3 sites max, so probably not on a big enough scale for anyone to give a shit.

Because people might try to put that into their links to make them do-follow, obviously if it was allowed then people would be making do-follow links all over the place and leech PR off BHW.

It's generally accepted that you should diversify your anchor texts, because it doesn't look natural if they all target one or two keywords. Then again, my first authority site still ranks pretty high in a competitive niche, when probably 60% of the anchor texts use the main keyword.

Good comments by afro25 so I won't belabor his points.

I have been using HighPRSociety for high pr backlinks like the ones you pointed to and have had good results recently. I only mention them because they have a new bst thread here in BHW and I have been a customer for the past 3 weeks or so (other than that I have nothing to do with them)... but I thought I'd pass on an easy, inexpensive way to get those "article links" you want.

In my view the most important aspect of backlinks is that the backlinks should be relevant to your site.

In other words if your site is about dogs, then a backlink from another dog site would benefit you. IN my view a anchor text link with the dog as the anchor, would be pretty useless f it is coming from a site that sell bicycles.

Therefor article marketing is still one of the best way to do back linking, so long as the article is keyword optemised and complement your site.
