So here is the deal, site A ranks for a variety of keywords as well as it's own brand name obviously.

Now what happens is that competitor site B tried to compete for some time, however has thrown in the towel and starts to redirect to site A with affiliate link.

Here's where the confusion comes in, now site B seems to take over all site A's SERP positions, and I don't mean pushed site A down, the index of the site A not to be found on the results, even if you search the brand name of site A, first result is site B with redirect to site A... other pages of site A come up when searching for brands name, but first result that is always been site A's home page(Site B has no similarity in branding to site A) is now site B!

What on earth is going on? It's almost like identity theft.. I've heard of this before but can't find any info on what to do!

I saw this one before, one of my clients was having a financial dispute with her business partner and he did something almost identical to the above using a crazy script. Weirdest thing I have seen in years. Can't offer any advice on this but I just wanted to tell you that your not crazy, I've seen this before and was like What the Hell?

That must be some kind of google malfunction. You should update this daily so we know what the deal is.

So if I redirect my site to the number one site on Google, I will be number one?

It's being redirected with 302 found. Thats the weird thing, I've heard stories when peoples affiliate links actually get indexed as original links(and replace) for things like amazon products, but that was years ago! Will keep tabs on this

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMM(I was thinking)
"starts to redirect to site A with affiliate link." so is it using redirect like 301/302 or does it have link on his site with link towards your site? if its link is it sitewide or one page? if he has a lot of pages maybe he overoptimized you for the term or google dance?

No, not definitely, maybe a glitch is causing this for a short period of time...

Can you PM me site's URL and few example keywords. I would love to analyze this. :)
