Hi. Haven't introduced myself yet to the community so here it is - a https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/whoami-bhw-txt.1242306/.

Disclaimer - I'm not selling anything in this thread.

Problem

Undetectable proxies aren't cheap.

While I understand the reasoning behind pricing policies for such services, for my needs they just do not justify the investment. Therefore an idea of a p2p proxy network just raised.

We all need secure, safe and undersaturated proxies that do not get you banned. E.g. for my projects currently I need a few residential IPs from various countries just to scrape some stuff off the web. Price for current setup and average traffic by using any provider out there could start from $200 and up to $900 per month.

And I'm feeling that many of you have the same problem.

Solution

Let’s make a pool of 4G proxies that is hard to abuse, easy to use and dirt-cheap. With API access and everything, a semi-shady internet marketer should need. Unlimited traffic, requests and no logging, all in return of fair usage.

The closest concept I could find to this is Hola proxy, but unfortunately, after testing it, I do not find it useful as for data mining - have to use their business tier. And it costs. Usually to see if I want to purchase a subscription I multiply monthly costs by a year to understand if I want to make such an investment. I did not.

So. Everything below is subject to change. It's a raw draft, but I would like to feel the temperature of your thoughts as soon as possible. Not to be mistaken - I do not see this as a business opportunity, such proxy businesses are hard to scale and could face a lot of issues, legal matters, and so on.

This is more like a hobby-level project/experiment that could help my projects and perhaps to bring some value to this community as I'm learning from you but yet had nothing to give back.

Currently, two user groups are in my mind.

Consumers
  • Access to P2P pool of shared 4G/residential proxies
  • You pay with your own Traffic or Credits
  • Abusive members gets deleted from the network
  • Unlimited traffic, but fair use policy
  • Cheap. Super cheap.

Providers,
  • Earn money by taking your USB dongle or home PC and adding it to the pool. Simple plug & play software. Stupid simple.
  • Earn even more money by just hosting our hardware at your home.
  • No need to connect your dongles to the network by cable. Everything will work by just adding sim cards and plugging our hardware to electricity.

What have I already done and current progress.

As I need to get this setup for my self, I already have some progress made.
  • Bought hardware for testing various setups, with configurations of 1 to 16 usb dongles
  • Developed a communication service between dongles and the host
  • Developed small api services that helps me to control them
The current state of the project - it works, it’s kludgy, hard to boot, but works, and my projects are now supported by 4G proxies. Will make more setups and distribute them over my country by asking some friends to host them in exchange for some money. But this setup limits me to currently one country. Obviously, I would love to get more pools over EU/US.

I'm not a network specialist and a lot of stuff I'm doing is by trial and error here. Never liked networking, firewall configurations were my absolute worst nightmare.

Larger milestones ahead,
  • Understand if the community is interested in such a service
  • Think of a way how to protect pool from spammers and flooders
  • Develop tunnel that connects dongles to the pool
  • Develop ‘a central’ for forwarding proxy connections
  • Develop client UI for generating access, etc

Questions,

  • Are you interested in such a project?

  • What pricing models could be a good idea?

  • Would you be interested to just provide traffic and earn money?

Too many proxy providers now...Easy to create a pool, but few can scale...
In fact, Few providers can offer real millions of IPs like lumaniti.io
Too many service providers tell lies and exaggerate their pool...
90% provider can only offer thousands of living proxies...
