A Caution for CloudFlare users

Google has now publicly partnered with CloudFlare. While there appears to be no direct SEO ramifications contained in their press release and no obvious mention of data sharing it's worth bearing in mind for anyone using CloudFlare to mask bulk hosting packages and avoid nameserver footprints. To read the full press release just google 'Cloudflare and Google partner'. While there's probably nothing to worry about at this point, it's something worth bearing in mind.

Ironically this post is on the first page of Google for the term 'Cloudflare and Google partner'.

As you said probably nothing to worry about indeed. Almost completely sure CF doesn't share any private data, so keep using that CDN.

I'd be more worried about almost every CF user leaking their real MX and TXT IP's. Woops!

Stop worrying about Google too much. The day they need to kick your website, they will anyways find ways of doing so. Even BHW uses Doubleclick by Google for showing and tracking ads. So, stop browsing it if you are so worried.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. PBN de-indexing is real, as my network continues to grow, footprints and methods of identifying my network are an increasing concern as they are for most people here. This isn't about tracking or privacy, it's about identifying your PBN network.

I am not saying that PBN de-indexing is not real and that Google cannot detect footprints. But it seems we (including me) are more concerned about what Google thinks, what if Google, what not Google, XYZ Google etc. rather than concentrating on our own work. It is more of a rant as I was also too much concerned about Google in the past couple of years. The reality in today's world is that "we cannot escape google's eyes" if we are online. There are massive footprints for Google even when you surf online. It would not be wrong to say that google directly or indirectly has control to 90% of the publicly available internet. They also know that you are surfing BHW. They probably also know your domain registrars, your hosting and what not. So, I nowadays like experimenting instead of being too concerned about Google. This Google phobia has resulted in a lot of losses for me in the last couple of years. And this is the worst phobia you can have a IMer or webmaster.

This is another conspiracy theory about G. I will say this once again: no matter what you, how you do with what tools you want, they still know exactly what you do. Not taking advantage of CF cus G is in partnership with them it's at least stupid.

Everything is in quality, backlinks or content. The rest of the tools are making let's say a rough 10% of your job.

"Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you". I do agree with you to a point though, I for one will continue to use CF but for the people who go to the lengths of avoiding, Gmail, Chrome, Javascript etc, it may well be worth noting. You're right though, they do have our data, hell I'm writing this on Chrome but I don't believe the webspam team have access to it (speculation) otherwise a lot of people here would be toast already.

I agree, get shit done. Although I prefer to get shit done with caution.
