Hi, so I am really just starting to get in to all of this and have registered my first site. Which it is a weight loss site, so I know it can be hard to rank for, but my keyword seemed to fit what most people seem to recommend when it comes to a keyword and I mainly just wanted to pick something, just to start. However now I am stuck on where to get content for my money site, as I have no motivation to write the content myself.

So it seems that I have two good options, one is to take other people?s content and rewrite or spin it myself, but I am starting to read that now a day?s that?s never a good idea for any websites that?s not tier 2 to or lower. So is that true? When it comes to your main money site is rewriting or spinning just a bad idea?

The other option is to hire someone to write my content for me. I was thinking down the road that I would want to get a few writers for my websites anyway, just so I didn?t need to deal with it and could spend my time working on other things, but I was thinking for now until I have a full understanding of how everything works and have started to get a bit of a income from this that I would try to do everything myself, mainly just for learning. It?s not the money it self, I also have a full time job that pays well, I just wasn?t sure if I should immediately start throwing money at my problems without really knowing what I am doing. Because at this point how do I even know that the person I paid is any good and that the content I get is really good and unique content?

Thanks for any help or thoughts

Weight loss, huh ? You sure do know how to pick your niche.

General rule of thumb is - only unique hand written content for money site (so you either write it yourself or pay some1 else to do it for you) and for backlinks (Tier 1, 2, 3, etc) you can and should use spun content.
Tho hand writing and hand spinning will always be the king, you can get away with using computer generated content. Things like Kontent Machine do wonders in this regard.

As for throwing money at your problems, soon you will realize that there are a lot more problems that you can throw your money at then the actual amount of money that you have.
So it's better to do everything that falls under "I could do it but I don't want to" yourself since you will find a lot of "shit, I can't do that myself" ones. And you can't spend your money on those if you already spent it on something else.

Btw, never be lazy, lazy won't produce money, it will just produce stress when it come to IM.

And as for weight loss, I don't want to discourage you, but that's a really really really hard niche and I couldn't think of a worse money & time sink, especially for a first website. (except maybe make money online)

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I have been thinking that weight loss is not really the best place to start, but part of it was that I was spending days trying to find more of a small niche with no real luck and came across my keyword that seem to fit what many people were saying is good for a keyword, so I jumped on it mainly because I just wanted something to get started and learn from, but never really thinking my first website was going to be that big of a hit. What also somewhat got me was the post called "Easy $100 A Day - Perfect For Noobs" under ?Making Money?(I can?t post links yet). So maybe I can still use that plan for the site I have now, but long term I may want a better niche.

Also thanks for the break down, so then yeah I will aim for only unique hand written content for my money sites.

But what other problems would someone really need to spend money on? I know some people pay for others to do backlinking, which I am not at that point yet so I don?t fully know how hard or how long it takes to do it yourself, but I?m not really sure what other common problems there are. I would think that writing fully unique content myself would fall under something I can?t really do without it all just being completely made up when it comes to topics I know nothing about and if it is something I know a little about there?s no real guarantee it will be any good, I?m no writer lol.

So yeah I guess I will take another few days and try to find a better niche.

    Again thanks

You can do research to learn about a topic and then write on it. If that doesn't work you could hire someone to write original content. Places like http://thecontentauthority.com/ do good work for a fairly inexpensive price.

Yeah it would an ok niche (since there will always be loads of traffic for it) but probably not if your traffic source comes from search results. Maybe with social media.
Do note that I never did anything related to weight loss, just saying, most of page 1 results for those keyword are taken by people with far more experiance and money then you, would you really want to go up against something like that? Not saying that it is impossible but rather very hard.

Btw, I know that thread, if you're doing that, then it's more ok, I thnought you just wanted to SEO your way to the top. But again note that there are probably a lot of other people doing it. Sry for all the negativity but I was never a fan of these over-populated niches.

As for other problems, well, backlinking could be one and probably the most notable especially if you don't know what you're doing. However, you don't need much of that if you're doing that method.

Web design if you don't know / fear the learning curve of photoshop / gimp.
Maybe you want to automate that part with forum posting, so you need to buy a tool for that.
Maybe you want to scale up so you get too much alerts and you can't keep track of all of them on your own.

Nothing else related to your case comes to mind but while doing IM I've noticed that no matter how much you think about something and no matter how much think you got everything covered, there are always little things that pop-up while doing a method and they take time / money.

As far as your method goes and while it's a good method, you can't do it on a copy-paste base. That is kinda doomed to fail. Throw some social media in to this. Twitter accounts, Pinterest accounts, facebook fan page etc. Start with one of each and focus a bit on getting followers a bit. Then see which generates the most traffic and expand there (I'd focus on Pinterest, you could create 3-4 accounts and manage them all, just pin random girly stuff and about weight loss untill you get more followers then start throwing in pins about your site).

You do this all while doing the "Seo-jacking".

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
