A beginning on reddit!!

So I started an Instagram page recently but facing a difficult time as my page isn't growing so as @Xsesonit mentioned to try out reddit.
To say reddit is very different from other platform as most people that are here are very harsh and I think they just let their ego out.
I started my reddit journey and commented on post and just then an egoistic person came Outta nowhere telling I am doing everything for karma.
Well I think that is what most people do if not all.Later I replied to his comment telling him he is free to tell what he wants.And again he replied with a disgusting attitude.
I do not how it goes but I just ignored and see where my account life goes as I made an account before as well but banned because of asking a question.
Let's see where will this account go.And I should be able to draw out some value for myself.

They are harsh because they can see when someone is there just to make a sale. I got banned from a few subreddits for that reason. My biggest success was when I wasn't trying to sell something but engaged with the community. In time, your authority and presence will make it easier to throw in a few links here and there. I'm not a guru who can tell you how to do it properly. What worked for me might not work for you. I usually try to link to my youtube vids and you gotta know where to do it. The guidelines tend to be strict about link dropping out of nowhere.
