A Beginners Pay Per Call Journey

This will be my first post here so hopefully it will be of some use to others. I?m new to pay per call but I?ve decided to document my progress and efforts. Pay Per Call is basically where I get paid to get people to call an 800#. The amount ranges from a couple dollars to hundreds of dollars but you can generally expect $15-$20 per call from what I hear. I?ve been planning on starting for some time but it seems I?m easily distracted, usually by some new system with a great sales page. Hopefully this will help keep me on task and focused. Also im sure there are people here who have tried or are trying some of the advertising methods ill attempt and hopefully ill get some advice along the way.


My Plan:


1. Stop procrastinating and apply to as many pay per call networks as I can.

2. Once accepted to several start applying for offers I can test
3. Start testing free methods and see which offers show the most promise.
4. Get first sale?. Wash, Rise & Repeat
5. After first couple sales start testing paid advertising methods.


My goal is to make $1,000 per month with pay per call. Its not a big goal but I think its something I can reach if I work hard, also an extra 1k per month would be a pretty big deal for me. Broken down this means I need to make $34 per day. If an offer pays $20 per call that lasts longer than 90 seconds and that comes in between the hours of 8am ? 6pm then I just need to get 2 calls per day to hit that goal. I?ve got to believe I can send 2 people per day to an 800# especially if im promoting multiple offers.

Advertising Methods:


Ill be doing a mix of paid and free advertising methods. In my research i?ve found 10 advertising methods that I?ll be trying. Ranging from pay per click with google and bing to placing bandit signs for credit repair offers, from what I hear setting my signs out Friday night and picking them up Sunday night is the key to not having them confiscated. To start out with ill be doing free methods exclusively until I begin to see results. Ill speak on this more after I get to this step.

Pay Per Call Networks:

I?ve chosen 8 pay per call networks and its my hope that Ill get accepted to at least 4. As stated before I don?t have any experience in the pay per call field so its likely certain networks wont accept me. The 8 networks i?ve chosen are Linkshare, cj.com , share a sale, ring partner, neverblue, callmarketplace, max bounty and mundo media. Ill update my progress as I go thru each network.

Well I think that?s it for now. Ill get started today and hopefully ill be able to stay focused and reach my goal.

Alchemist12, so far after going thru all of the applications most ask for a website of some sort. I have a blog that I used so we'll see how it goes. Ill update on my progress with each network as it happens.

System 0102, I agree that there's lots of potential in pay per call. It took me a bit of time to find the advertising methods I did so i'm hopeful that something will work.

As for today I got thru all of my applications and got approved for share a sale and call marketplace same day. I already had a CJ account so I just needed to get signed up for the pay per call offers which didn't take much time. Ill update again tomorrow after i've called some of the other networks for my phone screening. Mundo media, max bounty and ring partner all want phone time so I figure its best to get it out of the way. Ill try to remember what questions they ask and post it here so others will be ready.

I wanted to do an update before I headed to work. I was able to get approved for every network accept neverblue and linkshare. Still haven't heard back from either of those yet.

I talked to 3 networks over the phone. Mundo Media was the longest call and they asked the most questions. They asked things like what was my best month in earnings, what is an average month in earnings, what were my 2 most profitable campaigns, what other networks am I with and things of that nature.

Max bounty was the fastest call, I was basically just asked how did you hear bout us and then I was told that I had been approved to the network.

Ring Partner was another long one, they asked things like what methods do you currently use, do you think you'll be using those same methods if your accepted here, what other networks are you currently with, how did you hear about us and other such questions. After all the questions I was told that I'd get an email letting me know whether or not I had been accepted. In a short time after the phone call I got the email stating i was.

Hopefully ill hear from neverblue and linkshare next week as I hear linkshare has some good offers. Next thing I did was look over the pay per call offers that were available. My first hurdle was from share a sale, i searched but couldnt find any pay per call offers and asked support which told me I had to wait 30 days to see if I was qualified to participate in their pay per call offers. I was able to apply to several offers at max bounty and CJ. Mainly auto insurance, debt relief, television offers, handyman services and home security type stuff. Im waiting to see how many I actually get approved for. Time will tell.

Hopefully next week will have a bit more progress. I wasnt able to apply for any ring revenue offers or call marketplace offers today so I might do that when I get off this afternoon. Anyway thats it for now. Next week should see me begin a few marketing campaigns if I can get any offers accepted fingers crossed.

I have heard good things about Mundo, Neverblue and Ringpartner...

I just finished applying to several offers at ring partner and call marketplace. For those that might try this after me i'd like to mention that call marketplace has a lot less offers in comparison to other networks but they have pretty high payouts and they also seem to be the least restrictive. For example one offer paid $56 at call marketplace and the same offer only paid a little over $40 on another network. Also with call marketplace every campaign I applied to had no restrictions listed. I'm still waiting to see if mundo media will approve me for pay per call offers so no update on that yet.

As you can see im currently on step 2 of my plan. Hopefully next week we'll get some approvals so I can start marketing. Ill update once any new news occurs.

Hi Jordan, i don't really have a set criteria yet. I plan on testing several different offers and seeing which give me the best results. I'm brand spanking new to this so it will take some time for me to find what I like.

I agree abhi007, I've heard good things about those as well. I've talked to someone who's doing very well at share a sale so its a shame I wasn't accepted there.

good luck, ill be following this, i just started pay per call too, i got in with call marketplace and maxbounty got approved for a few as well, spoke with this guy joe from call marketplace, nice guy.

I never done pay per call but i drove a lot of calls to local businesses before and its a new challenge to me as well.

i will be doing signs and pay per click call only, as well as 1 maybe 2 websites with the #s on them.

I'm going after a lot of personal injury, credit repair and settlement offers.

are you doing WAP Mobile ads only with just click to call? this this would work great, wouldn't mind spending 5 bucks a call and getting 15-20 in profit, as long as its converting.

thisismymp3, its good to hear your getting started also, maybe we can bounce ideas off of one another. If you were able to drive calls to local businesses im sure you will be able to do the same for the larger companies. As far as what methods ill be doing I have several paid and free methods ill be trying once I get to that step. WAP mobile ads are 1 of the paid versions I plan on trying as well as bandit signs locally. I've also seen several plumbing and handyman offers that might do well on some of the local job sites. The more offers I see the more possibilities pop into my head. Anyway good luck with your campaigns, hopefully we'll both succeed.

As for todays progress I wasnt able to do much myself as i've been gone most of the day but I just checked my email and mundomedia has finally approved me for pay per call so Im about to start applying to several of their offers. I also had lots of emails related to offers from other networks, most were approvals. So far 3 were denied. Actually while writing this post I got 7 emails from callmarketplace, I was approved for everything I applied for I have to be at work in about 30 minutes so im going to try and apply to the mundomedia offers I liked and hopefully get word back from them tomorrow, that will officially cross step 2 off my list. Still no word from linkshare or neverblue. The way it looks i've got plenty to keep me busy so im not going to stress those 2 networks for now and they'll just be icing on the cake if they come thru in the future. Hopefully tomorrow Ill be able to start using some free advertising methods. Ill update again once I do.

Quick update today. I just got off the phone with Neverblue and i've been approved for their network now. The call lasted all of 2 minutes and he basically just went over the answers I gave in the questionnaire I had to fill out before our call. It was painless and most of my responses were simply yes thats correct. I just finished applying to their pay per call program and I was approved. They have lots of offers and ill go thru them this afternoon. The last network im waiting on is Linkshare.

I had planned on starting my free online marketing methods today but in my research i've come across several people stating they were removed from campaigns for advertising on certain sites like Craigslist even tho the campaign didnt say anything about not marketing on those sites. This concerns me a bit so im trying to find a way around it as there's a lot of potential for certain offers on sites like craigslist and many of the directory sites. I know that they can simply use a google search to find out where im advertising, i've seen where some people are using virtual numbers forwarded to their 800#'s to deal with that situation. I might just talk to my affiliate manager and see if the plumbing, electrician and handy man offers I've been approved to accept craigslist traffic. I've also noticed a legal section on craigslist under services which might do really well with some of the attorney offers. Ill have to go back and apply for some of those since I can see the potential there now. Ill update again once I get this stuff sorted out.

A quick update, I've started advertising several offers by means of Craigslist and directory sites. Those methods are free but I plan to start placing classified ads in newspapers this week as well and hopefully my first sale will come sooner than later. Ill report again once I get that first sale.

I know you're a newbie and I don't want to demotivate you. But I wouldn't recommend you dumping any money into this pay per call advertising, at least not until you actually receive a payment. Then if you want to scale things up you can take a portion of your earning and use that for testing paid advertising methods. This way you won't risk losing any of your own money - especially as a newbie trying to get started. Too many of of these PPCall networks are known to stiff people so tread lightly. This is just my advice. Take it or leave it.

Hi cdn craigs, i've started marketing but results are pretty slim so far. I've gotten calls but no conversions yet. dys872, So far my methods have all been free, craigslist, backpage, contacthelp, gethuman and even youtube comments. I'm not having luck with the free methods so ill be trying paid once I get a budget together. Ill update again once I start.
