So i read about SEO and took some courses. So there is this one thing i don't understand. So bassicly if i create a website how does google find it? You don't have to submit right? I made a simple landing page on namecheap hosting and google indexed it. How did google find that my website even exists? Or could it be that it checks major hosting providers?
Anyway thanks for answer.

They have google bot that goes and check everything. For SEO you only need to know that google checks your website. The more Authority you have, the more google checks you.

Just think of electricity. You can use a light switch, you know electricity is there, you don't want to waste time finding how electricity is generated, and transmitted to your house, you just need to know that's how it works. This is what Builders do, they just need to focus on building the house and the light switch...they don't waste time thinking how the electricity gets to the house. They just wire everything and make sure it works.

This way, you save a lot of time focusing on the things that matter - SEO.

Good luck to you.

I'm just starting with SEO too, it seems like strange concept to me. feels like you're just manipulating the system. is that marketing nowadays?

Tell me one point in history of mankind, when marketing wasn't a manipulation.
