Hey! I'm trying to make some advertising for my humor site. So i uploaded an image to 9gag, with my sites watermark in lower right corner. Now 23 hours later, that image has 2300 points and basically hitting front page soon, but they have _removed_ my watermark manually? This really sucks, anyone have an explanation? Do they really have time to do stuff like this?

Just wanted to express my anger, and i would love to get some advertisement tips for a humor site, which works almost like 9gag.

Has this happened to anyone else?

yes, they do that all the time before the image will go live

What do you mean with "before they go live"? I've posted 4 images, 3 which still have a watermark, the third one which went viral the watermark is gone.

..before they go live?

9gag as built on stolen content exclusively, what did you expect?those 12yo faggots will leave your watermark on or give you credit for the content?lol

So basically they have a horde of "12 yo faggots" searching through all images and removing watermarks? Allright...

I don't see what answer you're trying to get here, you're shutting down everything anyone says to you..

Anyway my bet is they have an algorithm which says what photos that are rising quickly etc (automated), then they check and remove for watermarks on those (manual)! Seems like a much more efficient way for them than worrying about every image

Welcome to the world of webmastering. Let me show you how things work.

i remember back to the days 9gag's watermark are always at the bottom and its really easy to remove ;)

Exactly.99% of "funny" sites do this.Welcome to the internet

no free ad bruh, if anyone did that to your site u would't like it eighter sussh

that's really frustrating man. :( If you really have funny content(original) then you should create a brand name for yourself and a good looking site for it. It would be the best solution for the long run, but if you want fast money without doing much work keep doing what you're doing now. :)
