I'm planning to make a website which is like 9gag but is this kind of site really much profitable? Let's say for example I'll use Adsense to monetize the site, I don't think people will click on the ads since they are more focused on viewing the images. For the CPM scheme, it would bring cash but it would require huge traffic to bank big. Am I evaluating it correctly?

Please do share your insights/experiences with regards to monetizing this kind of site. Your comments are highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I have one that hasn't made much in the last 3 months. Maybe about $2 a month. You have to be careful, too, cause Google will pull ads if you have women in tight pants and stuff like that.

The problem with sites like that, the originals that make money are flukes. Literally it is more profitable and easier to make a mas or mns than to fool around with something like 9gag. That being said, it can be done, but is it worth it? I'd rather fill a site with robust content and a high cpc keyword than create a place where trolls roam free. BTW, trolls don't click ads fairly. :p
