922Proxies network shut down by Google

Those complaining should perhaps go thru and read the entire page as linked and also some of the outward links as well if you have some technical know how, it's a very interesting bunch of reads.

Before I retired and closed down IpFreelyProxies I was approached numerous times by people wanting to sell me "Residential Proxies" to add to my services. I always refused as I knew in my heart of hearts that this day would come and one of my mottoes was to do no harm, and these proxies aren't just proxies, the entire criminal network this service is built on is about making money off of others illegally which includes stealing from the infected devices with total root access including; banking info, LIVE over the air logins and banking authorisations as well as all of your other information and sensitive photos. They also infected things like the T95 and T96 Android TV boxes AT THE FACTORY in some case and in others by bulk buying them and loading the software as part of the core of these products. There are also a LOT of offbrand phones that have been done the same way and you can't remove it in most cases and have to throw away the infected devices.

If you used residential proxies you must have had some idea that this was NOT a legitimate service, so I'm afraid I have very little sympathy for you. Get a real job, there are a lot of ditches that still need digging and a lot of people still waiting on their drink orders :)

I noticed this only refers to residential IP. what about datacenters ISP and mobile proxies?
They shouldn't have any issues as they're "usually" legitimate operators, like mine was, who just buy or rent blocks of IPs from the legitimate owners of those IPs. If they also used residential IPs then they could well be in the shit and may well be prosecuted into the dirt and hopefully bankruptcy or worse. Part of the problem with that is that pretty much every USA IPv4 IP is in use or has been so scragged out that you can't use them for Google or even any social media service. I was going to add IPv6 to my range of proxies but when I had a good look into it there is such a small uptake of IPv6 among the places we all wanted to create email addresses etc on that it just wasn't worth it for me to add the expense of new software developers to build it.

Good, unethical proxy sourcing is bad. Also, there's a reason why they have 2.4 on Trustpilot.
What do you think is an ethical way to source residential proxies?

Good read but let's be real, not every residential proxy provider runs infected botnets.
There are legit ones that source IPs through opt-in apps where users knowingly share bandwidth for money.
The ones Google took down were straight up malware operations.
Big difference between that and providers who do it clean.

That's what happens proxy providers with unethically sourced infostructure....Their pool is the most reliable to say the least, nothing there in for the long run for those guys.

Has anyone checked that their residential proxies are still working as a couple I checked say they're running multiple sources of IPs?
