83% Drop in Google Traffic

That's a penalty if I've ever see one. It may sound like an SEO cliche, but focus on quality for a while (if the website is worth it) and see how that can help.

I'm not sure if this in penguin now that I look at the date. You must have somehow triggered a manual penalty. The good news is that this might be easier to dig out than penguin.

The site not been blasted by any tools yet.
One biggest link resources only 600+ links from a PR5site(wholesite link), bought, with the same anchor tag.
The others all with its band name, different from above.
Link quantity increased from 8-1600 by around 1 month.
And the decreasing since 31st July. Now, now, around 80% decreased.

Anybody had any ideas about my case? Any suggestion or shared expereicne would be much appreciated

It seems that Google had an algorithm bug this month that caused them a lot of problems. If you take a look at Google's own traffic stats on Alexa you will see a substantial drop in their traffic for the month of August.

If you search "Google traffic drop in August" you will get some more reading on the subject.
