$800/week Etsy + AliExpress/Alibaba

Just been going through your post and am happy of the things I am learning. It is for sure a good deal and therefore will be trying it out in the next few days. I am hoping that I will get the best out of all this package. It is something I have been thinking for a very longtime and wanted to get all the facts right before I decide to venture into it fully. I will for sure post the progress of the niche as soon as I start so that we can be able to grow and motivate each other.

Better 2 stay under the radar w etsy. Looked like the store that was making bank with etsy ( earlier post ) has closed. I know they are great at banning stores. Thank you op for continuing this great thread. Sellers pls continue posting.

I recently set up a Shopify based website and am selling clothing, shoes accessories on there. My problem is that once a customer orders from my website (which I've done almost $800 in sales in the last 2 weeks since launching) I then order from the AliExpress seller whom sold that particular product and re-ship to my customer when it arrives with custom packaging. I have over 500 products on my website and I have outsourced a Middle Easterner to edit the product photos, remove watermarks and add drop shadows so all of the photos look great. My website looks pretty awesome honestly.

I came here looking for info from others on what to tell the customers when the order takes long :-/ Currently I'm just telling them that their order is processing and I'll email them the tracking number once it's been shipped. I'd love to hear a great comeback to tell the customers a reason why it's taking long. I can definitely float the 10-15 days...but once it goes on 15-30 days I know my customers will be like WTF!!! So anyone have any insight on what to tell them on why the shipping is taking so long? Would love to hear from someone who's doing a good bit of revenue.

I ran some Black Friday and Cyber Monday Instagram ads and didn't do too bad.
Could you explain how you started or decided what would sell from AliExpress? I am also a father and am really trying to start building online money. Any help would be appreciated.

I decided based on what I know and what my hobbies are. Because you should always stick to what you know.

Have you checked out Yaross' thread on his Wordpress dropshipping sites? I think he only orders epacket shipping which reduces shipping times to 10-15 days max.

By the way, do you really repackage every item you buy? That must take a lot of time and decrease profit margins. How do you manage to get your packages and do you do private label stuff?

I'm using similar method but this one is more cool.Thank you.

This is definitely something interesting, has anyone else tried it? If so, how has it been?

Is it mandatory to repackage? What would happen if you sent them the package directly from Aliexpress?

thats awesome !

Shipping from China to Europe should be faster than shipping China to US. Plus people on Etsy are used to large turn around times. Just increase your working time to 3-4 weeks from date of purchase on Etsy so that people know it will take a bit. You can tell them it is because the item is made to order.
Thanks gonna try this

was wondering, if this method could still be used in 2019?
just researching before i commit on a method. Thanks!

Find the correct product/untouched niche and can still work. Look at what etsy sellers are selling, you don't only need to use aliexpress. Many are selling hipster products, natural products, etc. See where you can get these.

Add a twist to this method and you won't get caught. You'll need an initial investment. Not only that but I strictly recommend this method because you also get to quality check what you're selling before you start drop shipping. A lot of sellers send defective/bad pieces and you won't know what your customer receives so it's important to work with good sellers that will check the pieces before shipment.

Buy 100 items from Alibaba, take your OWN pictures with your OWN background.
It will be harder to "detect" alibaba products on your store.

A lot of times people use "reverse image search" which compares your picture with other sites and eventually find out where it came from. If you use your own pics it won't show up.
