80/20 rule: 20% of the efforts lead to 80% of the results

Does this apply to local SEO, what is the 20% of things you can do to get 80% of the results

I think when it comes to SEO, it is the search engine's algorithms which rules the game and they keep tweaking their algorithms non-stop. I think no other "rules" work quite well these days for SEO.

Claim your Google Business Profile and get a few killer reviews. Seriously, that's most of the battle right there.

The first thing to do is optimize your keyword listing and keep adding posts consistently. The second is the good reputation of the gmb profile.

The 80/20 rule fits well in local SEO. Around 20% of actions like fully optimizing your Google Business Profile, building key citations, and getting solid reviews often bring 80% of the ranking results.
