Hi mates,
I just want to share my pain with one my ****** HDD of my NAS :(

I bought a NAS 4 years ago to build my personal plex server and 8to of data

a lot of movies/tv shows and animated series.
Because i'm a lazy guy..... I choosed the RAID 0 with 2 x 4GB HDD

No need to tell u how family and frirends loves it ^^

but yesterday night for the 2nd time one of my HDD crashed !!!!!! grrrrrr this ******* bip and orange light :s

Tried to reset it in write mode but it was ok just few hours :(

thx amazon i'll get 2 x6 TO in couple of days but i will have to dowload everything again !!!!!!!!!!

I really need a big external HDD to back up my nas ... or by an extension And upgrade to RAID 1 (dont want to loose capacity)

Thx for letting me express my feelings ^^

have a good day

Nice to know, good luck with the new ones. Have a good day too.

I would use RAID 1 the second time, but anyways RAID is not a backup.
By user error or a virus you could lose data again in any type of RAID.
A backup of your data resides in another separate place.
Consider this next time when you have precious data.
Sorry for the loss...
