8 months of blogging and still getting no traffic, normal?

In the beginning completely its normal, and with no backlinks or authority yet, page 2 rankings usually mean your content has potential but needs some stronger internal linking, topical authority, and some quality backlinks to break through.

Yes, this is pretty common for newer blogs, especially without backlinks yet. Getting posts to page 2 is actually a good sign. Usually internal linking, better optimization, and a few quality backlinks help push those pages higher over time.

Yes that is completely normal Getting 60 to 80 visitors a day after 8 months is actually a good start Keep improving your content internal linking and start building a few quality backlinks to move those page 2 rankings higher

Yes unfortunately, that’s still fairly common, especially for new blogs in competitive niches.
A lot of blogs get almost no Google traffic for 6–12 months, inconsistent indexing, impressions without clicks, slow growth until topical authority and trust build up.

This is normal for new blogs, but without backlinks, stronger SEO optimization and better content targeting most posts get stuck on page 2 instead of reaching top rankings.

Building traffic takes time, especially when you're just starting out and haven't built backlinks yet; it's totally normal to see slow growth in the beginning so keep writing and focus on creating amazing content

Started a blog 8 months ago. Written around 60 posts. Still only getting 60 to 80 visitors a day.
Some posts are on page 2 but not moving. No backlinks done yet. Just writing and publishing.
Is this how it is for everyone in the beginning or am I doing something wrong?
Yep it’s actually very normal, and you’re not alone. Eight months is still early in the blogging game.

This is pretty normal if you don't have backlinks. You should focus on getting guest posts and niche edits becaus these move the SEO needle to your favour.

Yeah, totally normal. 8 months is still early, especially without backlinks. SEO takes time—most blogs don’t see real traffic until 12+ months. Focus on getting links and promoting posts, not just publishing.

In the current Google ecosystem, 60 posts across 8 months is too slow for a fresh domain to build topical authority, unless you are hyper-focused on one micro-niche. Google needs to recognize your site as an 'Entity'. Right now, your 60-80 visits are probably just accidental long-tail traffic. Don't build backlinks yet. Map out your next 30 posts to tightly cover a single sub-category so the algorithm understands exactly what you are an expert in. 60 posts scattered across broad topics won't cut it anymore

Traffic is low partly because you haven’t built backlinks. Sharing your posts, guest posting, or getting other sites to link to you can make a big difference in rankings.

It’s normal to be stuck if you haven’t built any backlinks yet because content alone won't get you to page one for anything competitive, grab some niche edits or guest posts to give your site enough power to push past page two, also make sure you aren't targeting keywords that are too hard for a fresh site to win.

Have you tried getting some traction through social media? If you don't want to build backlinks at least explore pushing your content on social media. It helps in getting ranked too.

choose the low competition keyword. and publish the human written articles, and get high quality backlinks. slowly your website traffic is improve on it.

You may want to use more backlinks to get the rank up . Normal is hard to get ranking without any backlinks just posting naturally unless the keywords you focus on are low competition

60–80 visitors/day is normal especially if You’re relying purely on organic search without promotion

Yep, totally normal at this stage. 8 months is still early, especially without backlinks. Focus on SEO tweaks, share your posts, and start building some links, traffic usually picks up after 6–12 months consistently.
