8 months of blogging and still getting no traffic, normal?

I’ve been in the same boat and the thing that moved the needle for me was going back to old posts and tightening them up with clearer headings, a few FAQs, and better internal links. I also started chasing super low-competition keywords that barely show up on any tools. Traffic grew slowly but steady. Even a couple of natural backlinks from small sites made a difference over time.

You still need some references from around the internet related to your brand. for that you need backlinks. Also since your website is getting indexed purely on the basis of content, i am assuming your website has good authority in your niche. Try to target low competitive question based keywords. That will give you a boost in traffic.

internal linking and content structure can also make a diffrence. sometimes pages do not move simply because google does not see strong connections between your posts.

What you're seeing is pretty normal for a new blog. Getting 60 to 80 visitors a day after 8 months and 60 posts is not bad at all. Posts on page 2 often need more time, content updates, internal links, and some quality backlinks to move higher. Keep publishing helpful content and improving existing posts. SEO growth is usually slow at the beginning, but consistency often pays off.

The lack of backlinks is probably the biggest blocker right now. Search engines see a lot of content but nothing to suggest it's valuable or authoritative. you've got the writing down, which is key, but without a strategy to get it seen beyond your own efforts

if posts are already on page 2, that is actually a good sign. it usually means Google sees potential, but the pages need a little more authority or optimization to move higher.

Its normal yes. It means your blog is shit, and the topic you choose is of no interest to people, or your buried 20 thousand leagues under the sea. Pick a new topic, and don't buy a domain and host for it, until you are sure you can bring something new to the table, and get traffic. (that means not another boring one sided wp blog! lol)

That is actually quite normal for many new blogs If some posts are already reaching page 2 you are making progress Content patience and promotion matter

As you say you do not have any backlinks, so it is normal. it also depends on niche. so you should focus on promoting your blog posts on relevant sites and SEO of your website.

I’d check if your posts are hitting the right keywords that folks actually look for - sometimes just tweaking a headline or adding a key phrase can get you more eyeballs. I found poking around in Google Search Console gold for seeing what pages people land on, then adjusting those posts and adding more internal links between articles. Even updating older stuff gets Google sniffing around again.

Yes this is pretty common in the beginning. From my experience content alone often takes time to gain traction without any backlinks or internal optimization. What helped me was improving older posts, adding internal links and making sure the topics were tightly focused instead of only publishing new articles.

Yes, it's normal for many bloggers. Keep publishing quality content, improve SEO, and build backlinks—traffic often takes time to grow.

Sixty posts in 8 months is solid, but why those page 2 keywords aren't moving instead of just publishing more. Sometimes improving a handful of existing articles does more than adding another 20 new ones.

Started a blog 8 months ago. Written around 60 posts. Still only getting 60 to 80 visitors a day.
Some posts are on page 2 but not moving. No backlinks done yet. Just writing and publishing.
Is this how it is for everyone in the beginning or am I doing something wrong?
I'd appreciate if you work on two things;
write at least 60 more posts but that too should be niche relevant and get some quality backlinks.
