7878's Lettermethod executed o/

Awesome thread!
I am trying to get at least 100 letters sent out but I find it extremely difficult to find the name of the "decision maker". Anyone's got any hints on that?

Thanks

Alex

There are number of ways; such as about us page for that company, manta & linkedin

It wouldn't particularly be the 'decision maker', but you will get the owner's name and that's usually the decision maker, unless it's a bigger corp we are talking about here.

Just curious and I dont know if I missed it. I did read the entire thread.

Are you selling them on a 12 month package and are you guaranteeing them that the neg comments will be replaced with good or completely removed?

I really want to do this but my dilemma is, the closest big town is 2 hrs away from me. I live in a tiny hick town.

From my understanding, he is going to get more 'positive' reviews for the client to cover up the neg reviews.

When you have total of 5 reviews, and 4 are negative, it looks very obivious.
When you have total of 50 reviews, and 4 are negative, those 4 aren't going to impact as much.

No one can guarantee negative reviews removal. Everyone is just covering them up (or what we call bumping them down or burying them).

Amazing fistor. Extremely motivational. Are there any new updates?

Hey, Thanks! There won't be no updates, as I'm not active with this one anymore. All I tried to accomplish was to see if this works. And yea, it works. :)

Did you follow up with a phone call or even an e-mail to the 98 that didn't respond in the first batch?

I used this technique, with a twist and brought in 15 new clients which kept me steady for about a year.

P.S. Using business' against a "neighboring business" worked extremely well for me as well. Nice share to the community, I hope more will pick up on that. Easier to sell "no reviews" that "shatty reviews"!

No, I never followed up on those. Though I would highly recommend that to everyone that is trying to run this Method as a serious business.

I usually only do 12 Months contracts, yea. I never guarantee anything in my contracts. I'm providing services, not guarantees. Guarantees can get you in deep trouble. :)
I know it's a killer selling argument, but use it wisely and carefully! As for the Service itself, you might want to reread 7878's post. The Service is just about flooding the bad reviews with masses of positive (legit) ones.

What you do about your dilemma is selling it through other ways. You don't have to meet the owner face to face to sell. It just makes things easier.
Or what you can do is batch send your letters, then set several appointments on the same day, and run them all within the same day, so you only have to drive once.

Good Luck!

Very inspirtional thanks for this
but i still dont get how do you actually erase the bad reviews for this clients?

Thanks

Since you are not actively doing this anymore, would you be willing to share what upsells you were were offering?

Also, does anybody have the "whitesheet" that 7878 had posted on the "22 letters" thread? The link is not working anymore.

I'm just trying to gather all the information I can about this before I implement it.

Thank you in advance!

Hi fistor,
well done.

One thing I'm interested in is the contract - do you have them actually sign a piece of paper, and if so is it possible to see a sample of it please?

Thanks.

I really like how you pit them against eachother, you create the demand + supply in one moment.

This is something to apply in my tiny old-folk town, they're just not competitive here so I need to give them a push.

No.
I only share to people I know, and who I think would put that into Action. Mostly over PM and skype though.

Its time for me to take some action on this one

You should. :)

Glad you liked it! My contract is actually a piece of paper and real, yea.
I'd give you my contract, but it's written in foreign language, so...
All it does is basically handle the payments (amount + method), duration of the contract, buyer/seller legal informations, and most importantly - it saves me from getting into big trouble should things go wrong.

I'd be very interessted in seeing how this would work in a smaller town. Keep us updates.
Best of luck! :)

These guys could put a dent into this business method! reviewbalance DOT com. This kind of pisses me off, as businesses could find them online and get basically the same package for FREE or for only 20 Bucks/month. Damn it. If the business owner is internet savvy or puts one of "his guys" into search mode, then they could find this and put us out of business.

I hate the "arms race" that is going on online. As soon as I only think about an idea that doesn't exist, there is someone milking and skinning the cow (not in this case as it is 7878's idea). I hope this doesn't sound to negative, but as entrepreneurs you should know the opportunities and risks/threats. Maybe we have to find another twist to add to the package, to distinguish ourselves from these guys. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

I guess web designers are all out of business too thanks to Wixx and GoDaddy's site builder right?

Damn right. mrsix just gave a fantastic example.

No business can dominate the entire industry like that. There's always room for others, just the matter if fact if people are willing to step up and offer something even better or more suited for the market. Stop worrying about others and mind your own business. Taking action is the key.
