I was planning on using Square app to charge for this service because it's convenient, but then, I thought maybe it would be better to set-up an automatically recurring monthly payment from my customers so that I won't have to meet each one of them every month. Has anyone already done this?

Yes.

Sign up with Quickbooks or Freshbooks and set up automatic reoccurring payments. you won't regret it.

Paypal lets you do recurring payments if you have at least a business account (free).
